Back from a break the 2 anchors took up the topic of Willie Lampkin.
They both gave props to the kid, and thought that he'd be rough customer in camp this summer. Kirwan was particularly strong about him being a practice squad guy.
Yeah, they noted that would essentially give them three centers on roster.
For those board guys going to camp, I expect to hear about this kid getting in the veterans' grills.
At least initially, since Jackson might be on IR depending on how things go on the blood clot front.
But the room (assuming 10 for the season) is probably only set to 7 spots, with Jackson, Avila, Shelton, Dotson, Havenstein, Humphries, Limmer making the team. So up to 3 spots up for grabs, which I think Lampkin can easily crack.
Oh and also he can serve as depth across the interior, not just Center.
