It was less a matter of against than "not for".
For the Rams, and where they are right now, I think the money could used better at other positions. Clearly with the Rams passing on both Alexander and Ramsey, they felt that neither were the right player for right now, with an eye on the future.
I just think both players are "yesterday". Not the best fits for this team. But, had the Rams made the opposite decision and signed one of them, it wouldn't have upset me in particular.
That Pittsburgh gave up what they did in a very good player in exchange, along with a LOT of money says Tomlin thinks Ramsey is a good fit for where they are right now. So be it.Fit is everything in the ultimate team game.
