Now that's interesting information. If the Steelers go nowhere by mid-season and the Rams see that they need some help that Ramsey could provide in the secondary, having him for half of the season for 600K is very reasonable in my opinion.
At that time, it will really depend on if the Steelers fall flat and what they'd want from the Rams for the trade.
For the Rams I think it would depend on what they see Ramsey still able to do well. Perhaps free safety, slot or star position. I don't think he is really any better as a boundary corner than what we have on the team already.
I think the way the Rams have built the defense is to have such a good pass rush that the opposing QB has only about 2.5 to 2.8 seconds maximum to pass the ball and that's it. So, the secondary only needs to cover for 2.5 to 2.7 or 2.8 seconds max. Sounds very short but actually can be a life-time when you are out there. But it does also mean that you can cover in certain ways, and use zone heavy to overlap areas. So that means you don't super talented corner backs necessarily. In any case, I don't think Ramsey is quick enough anymore. Quickness is the first thing to go.
