Ramsey's contract guarantees him $24.235M in 2025.
He's signed thru 2028 but has no guaranteed money after this year.
$4M of that $24.235M in guarantees is a roster bonus which the Dolphins paid on March 16.
$18.98M of that is an option bonus that is due the 1st week of the season: the Dolphins are going to pay $3M of that and the Steelers are picking up the remaining $15.98M.
And his 2025 salary is $1.255M.
(That's all his guarantees: $4M + $18.98M + $1.255M = $24.235M).
If the Rams traded for Ramsey at the deadline (Tuesday, Nov 4) they would have him for half the season and would only be on the hook for half his salary. 9 games for $627,500. And that would be the Rams cap hit for 2025.
There are a bunch of bonuses available that could conceivably add up to almost $3M, but he would have to get at least 5 INTs and make All Pro while the Rams win the Super Bowl to collect. And the $3M would go against the 2026 cap, not the 2025 cap. (Quite frankly I would root for him to get all of that since the Rams would be SB Champs!!)
Ramsey is under contract for '26, '27, and '28. They can cut him or trade him after the 2025 season and all it would cost the Rams is that $627,500 plus whatever bonuses he earned.
If the kept him beyond 2025, though, it would cost the Rams over $20M a year ...
