Still a lot to be learned about Poona and how he can be used in this defense but here's what I'm thinking so far.
If it's 3rd and 10 Poona won't be out there. I know he has pass rush skills but at this point I don't think he's going to be part of the nickle or dime package considering all the other options the Rams have.
But 2nd and 2? 3rd and 3? Yeah, he'll be out there then and whenever a run play is a strong possibility. The thing is, teams often pass on 2nd and 2 and 3rd and 3 and that's when I think Poona's pass rush skills will come into play. A lot of run stuffing NTs would be stonewalled at the LOS because they are one trick ponies and that gives the QB a clean pocket in those situations, but it seems that Poona has pass rush skills that will let him disrupt those plays.
