Not sure if their analytics has as much to do with it as just McVay.
My 2 cents...
I think the LB question is simply that, up until Saquon, it's been more and more a passing league for the last 20 years, and teams have gone away from establishing the run. Therefore less emphasis on using resources to stop the run.
And for the TE, McVays entire philosophy is built around using receivers to block. And the TE is the ultimate blocking receiver.
But definitely possible analytics led them in these directions.
