I'm well aware of the potential for a long-term issue that could impact his ability to play this year and, possibly, beyond.
There is also a possibility that his current condition can be treated and that he can resume playing.
Without, as you note, all the details, there's no way for us to know.
I'm simply making a prediction (which, admittedly, reflects my hope).
