For example:
Rams are exceptionally good at finding WR’s, even in midrounds or later. Pretty darned good at DL and Edge, too. No slouches at Safety later in draft, either.
But other positions seem to be difficult for them. Examples:
QB (other than trading up for talent or FA, no real home grown talent)
RB. Been a bit iffy since Gurley. Even Kyren has his issues.
TE. Been a revolving door at TE between drafting Higbee and Ferguson.
OT. Our starting LOT is a former udfa. That speaks volumes.
ILB. This position has been an orphan until this offseason.
CB. ‘Pretty good’ now thanks to some FA signings. Home grown talent has been underwhelming.
Is it a ‘finding talent’ problem or a developmental problem in the above areas? Or maybe both?
Thoughts?
