I can't fault your thinking about that game. I'm with you in that one play didn't make or break that game. Indeed, the Eagles were the better team.... just not by much. And indeed we saw the major flaw with our D; run defense. Which, I think, has been largely solved with the addition Ford, Landman, and depth that Hamilton will provide.
What matters most about that game, and the playoffs in general, is that we saw our young roster take a big step forward. Rosters matter. As long as a team has a really solid roster, good coaching, stable systems, and has players who have an inherent resilience in them, they'll be in the hunt every year.
The Rams proved they have all those things plus one more: they have so many 1st and 2nd year guys making big contributions, that the natural development process means most of them will do nothing but get better, which means that the roster should get better and deeper.
That's the 2025 Rams. And if only a couple of our new draft picks contribute, it'll be even deeper this year. That of course doesn't ever solely dictate how a year plays out, W's and L's, but it has to be the largest factor.
