best 8-year stretch in franchise history

June 07, 2025 05:00AM
Factoring in the two Super Bowl appearances and one championship, an 8-5 postseason record, and .606 win % in the regular season, it's really the best 8-year stretch in Rams' history.

From 1973-1980 they won .729 in the regular season and went 6-8 in the playoffs (one Super Bowl loss).

1967-1975 they won .723 regular season. But just a 2-5 postseason record.

From 1948-1955 they went .646 in the regular season, 2-4 in postseason with one championship.

No other 8-year period in Rams history comes close.

Funny how time flies in these years! I think back to 1990-98 and 2005-16..
