Could be that this was just about not wanting to pay an ILB, period. Or could be that the Rams are trying to not publicize that he has a bum knee... Or they were intended on trading him and didn't want him to get hurt in practice. They brought Reeder back in April... Is it business? or trying to do the right thing? Or both. I believe MCVay when he says it is in the team's best interest. I don't see that now but I am just going to trust that it was the best thing for the team... and maybe the best thing for Jones.
