I think we trade down but I wouldn't want to drop all the way to 28. Drop a couple of spots and grab the best D player who falls to us. If we are going to go OT I'd trade up to get a blue chipper.
No way I pick a QB before the 5th round. Stafford will play several more years. JG is a quality starter waiting in the wings. Bennett is back and is a winner. I'll try to push out the mysterious absence from a year ago and instead concentrate on the fact that he was a two-time College champ at the position. With these 3 where will a rookie QB fit? I can see us going in many different directions. The edge, DE and DT openings look like major needs.
So, nabbing a top prospect at any of these positions makes total sense. Drafting a LT, WR or QB high doesn't, unless that prospect is just that much better ranked than all the other ones at that slot. Funny thing is I bet Les Snead has no idea what he'll do right now. He adjusts as the draft unfolds. As he should. I predict 2 trade downs and one grade up in the middle rounds.
