Don't know about that game but clearly many questioned the officiating call at the end. However, there were questionable calls on both sides of the ball in that game like there are in many games. Hardly anyone says or thinks ALL games are subject to these shenanigans but it certainly seems as if more games are questionable in recent years. This is NOT about one game but rather patterns over MANY games throughout the course of several years/multiple decades. Nice try though to isolate to one questionable example though. I think at this point most can cite scores of examples of questionable calls and potentially interfered with games.

The discussion is being held because even after many, many years in where people refused to entertain such questions or hold those conversations the topic has evolved. Things are now to the point where it's virtually impossible to ignore and increasingly obvious something is not completely above board is taking place in the NFL. Power and greed tend to corrupt things, bad men & women do exist and the NFL is a HUGE big money entertainment platform that is heavily wagered upon.

Rigged, slanted, scripted, bought & paid for refs or whatever you wish to call it... clearly something is not right/amiss with that NFL. It has become so over the top obvious for several years now that even casual fans who would never otherwise notice nor question such things much less wish to think that their favorite sport may be compromised are asking a lot of questions and finding more support, video, circumstantial evidence and agreement of potential foul play.

SB 36 and the NFL's subsequent cover up remains a generational sore point for many Rams fans. The persistent and timely poor officiating that the NFL is plagued with yet seems completely uninterested in addressing is yet another source of major annoyance. Then the constantly changing NFL officiating rules allowing for even more personal subjectivity in officiating calls/decisions pours more fuel on those fires. It certainly does not help the NFL's cause when every once-in-a-while a frustrated or disgruntled player or coach blurts out something related to these questions that the NFL frowns upon. Then that voice is silenced. Sounds familiar to like how many Rams players and coaches felt about SB 36 but then were hesitant/nervous to discuss in public. That has played out in many interviews over the years. It's clear several felt something fishy took place in that game but were under pressure not to say anything/discuss in public. I saw a fairly recent interview with Martz that was a good example. He clearly thought something was off that games but uncomfortable discussing it. Faulk has usually been the most vocal about it and he's now not in great standing with the league over some accusations. Warner almost always seemed controlled and frightened about discussing the subject in public. He still draws large checks from league related activities as an analyst and show host so he has a lot to lose.
