No single game tickets available for face value....
Cheapest tix for most games are over $100 after fees on ticket sites for nose bleeds
Are most of the tickets sold to "scalpers" who will in turn sell them to opposing teams fans to fill up our stadium again?
I have a feeling it wasn't a majority of Rams fans who bought them and as rich as he is, I doubt Rampage2k could afford to buy more than a 1000 tickets, so who does that leave?
Scalpers and businesses.
SSL (season ticket) owners account for about 95% of the tickets iirc, so very few are availabble if any to the public at face value.
Unfortunately a lot of SSL owners are bigger fans of money than the Rams and try to make money off their tickets every year.
The Rams are FINALLY doing something about it and people who don't go to at least 3 regular season games will have the lowest priority on parking this year...it's not much, but it is a step in the right direction....
At least they are trying to something! I hope they can do even more to stop the over taking of our stadium! What else can they do? I have no idea!
As Gator will agree, Ticketmaster isn't helping things either!
Ticket Master, Stub Hub, etc, really only a third party that make buying tickets safe and secure, unfortunately they charge a hefty fee to both buyer and seller that increase the prices...until a better company comes along and does it for less, it will remain a racket for them.
As far as the Rams doing something about it, they could do more IMO, but at least they are doing something now with the parking priority....I know some teams will revoke your season tickets if they see you are selling all of your tickets, but I don't think those teams have SSL's ....but there is other ways to try and curb it, starting with parking prioroity is a step in the right direction at least.
I think they should increase the threshold to 5 games minimum tho...perhaps they will in the future
Unfortunately there are plenty on Niner fans who have season tickets, just for the Niner games and sell the rest of them for profit... eff those type of fans
