Back in the day I believe Z posted some interesting facts about drafts picks and what percentage of 1st and 2nd rounders were busts. It was quite high. I agree with JY that Snead is average at least. Maybe above average.
Snead should be better - but he's not awful. I've seen middle-of-the-pack ratings--depending on when you grade him
If you go back to 2012--which includes 2014 (Donald) he grades a bit better.
If you do McVay era, it's not as good---
It's got to be better though.
He's a guy we expect to hit .300 and he's hitting .275 when the league average is .250
A few guys (Ozzie Newsome, maybe) hit .300 and we want that.
But Snead is maybe .275 give or take, maybe down to .260 now--when league average
is .250

This year he needs to be Tony Gwynn - flirt with .400
