So sorry to hear about your dog. I can feel your pain.
We have 3 dogs ourselves (all Weimaraner), the older one is about to turn 12 years (the best friend I ever had in my life), the 2 younger ones are brothers and 1,5 years old. One of them had a birth defect, his left front foot did not have bone in the lower part. No one wanted him because he needed to have an operation to correct the problem and the breeder would have given him to the animal shelter so we decided to take him and his brother though we initially only wanted to take one new dog. But when we first went to the breeder and found out about the poor puppie we adopted him right away, knowing the operation ahead would not be cheap at all. He needed to have an operation, they crafted 2 titanium plates and inserted them to stablize the leg. Now one of the plates shows an infection and has to be taken out in April. He is dealing with all of this as courageously as you could think.
Such a brave puppie ! we named him IVAR after the character out of The Vikings . Just as the other Ivar he is very intelligent but sometimes he can be a little whacko too.
Go RAms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
