He was a massive surprise to me in 2021. I thought he wouldn't make the team let alone earn the starting job and play well all year.
He has talent. Works hard. All that.
But (going back to mid-2019) he's missed 34 of their last 57 regular season games. There's no way they can rely on him to be their 2023 starter. I think they'll give him a chance to prove them wrong and maybe at minimum be veteran depth. But the cap moves they have made give them breathing room to figure all that out.
