The Rams have invest a ton just to get Stafford. They just signed him to a huge contract. He is basically untradable due to all the signing bonus money that would accelerate into the current year. McVay Loves him. He won a Super Bowl.

The Baker to TB tells us nothing about Stafford. If Baker resigned with the Rams it would tell us nothing about Stafford. Stafford baring some sort of a disaster of some sort will be our QB for at least another 2 years and probably longer than that.

I think Stafford is now a year-to-year thing, Deacon.

Maybe month to month or even game to game during the season, tbh.

Game to Game? Do we even have another QB right now? Do you think that the cap strapped Rams will invest in a high quality back up that is capable of being a starter? I might be convinced to move over into your camp if the Rams select Hendon Hooker in the 2nd round which would send a strong signal that we are developing a future QB.

Anyway Stafford will be on the Roster due to the enormous cap hit we would take if he is moved. We don't have any cap space for a quality backup either. I think with the cap space we do have right now that we are still a little short in covering the costs of the draft class.

I think Stafford is our only hope for a successful offense and if he goes down it will be a cheap backup or a rookie that takes over and it won't be Purdy.

  It's Stafford's head I'm concerned about.

Ramsdude247March 15, 2023 10:48AM

ABQRam116March 15, 2023 11:28AM

Agree-he wants a shot at starting, here, only if MS gets hurt
