It looked like and was also reported that McVay was a huge Baker fan. Then when Baker came here and did as well as he did with as little as he had to work with made McVay an even bigger Baker fan.
Now Baker signs a fairly low contract to go to TB to have a shot at STARTING rather than stay here as QB2 and wonder if Stafford will make it through this season (and maybe more) for Baker to Start a game again.
Does that tell us that Stafford might be in better health than some have led us to believe?
Did Baker have "inside" info or at least a better view of the possible issues with Stafford's elbow, back and other ailments than we do so he opted for TB instead of us?
He basically signed for QB2 money in TB so money wasn't the issue. There seems like there wasn't really a lot of interest in Baker either. IOW, we didn't hear about him getting any legit offers and he jumped on this pretty quickly.
I think this is a good sign that Stafford is in better shape than we think. I think that also weighed heavily on McVay's decision to return for more.
Thoughts?
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
