First, multiple options in the 2nd round that could very well be late 1st round picks. So at 36 ideally (whichever position it is) the Rams end up with a legit top-30 overall talent. Mauch, Schmitz, and the edge options all good...
Same in the 3rd round. Seemingly good value and of course fills a need. I never understand the age concerns when a rookie is almost 24 or whatever. You're drafting a guy there for the next 4-5 years. Beyond that is gravy. And I agree CB could be a consideration as high as the 3rd round.
I like the Purdue TE too. At #137 drafting a quality TE2 is good value. Fills a big need for them regardless of if he ever grows into a starter or not.
Tune is a nice QB3 project. Experienced (1,500 collage pass attempts), 68% completions and a 3.5:1 TD to INT ratio the past two seasons. Showed up pretty well at the Senior Bowl.
Luepke has good size and could be a nice RB3. Averaged over 6 YPC the past two years. I'm sure would be a ST guy.
And the DT Mustipher, like you said, has size and a motor you can't teach. Good 6th round selection. Maybe another SJD or Gaines.
