I'm not a fan of Jimmy, but I'm not utterly dense and have to admit he can operate an offense coming off the bench.

I saw the Rams interest in Jimmy G as being nothing more than intel-gathering on the enemy.
Reason-being is that Garoppolo's main purported deficiency is downfield passing. I was never sure how that was going to mesh with McVay who likes his QB's to read deep first in order to create explosives.
I still believe that Sam Darnold would make a good backup QB for the Rams...and at the right price.
