Their immovable defense got rolled for 31 points. They didn't get turnovers or create short fields. The game wasn't close.
All that aside I don't buy that they would have won with Purdy. 19 points was not going to win this game for the 49ers.
Also, on the play Purdy was injured their genius playcaller had their #2 tight end one on one with the eagles best pass rusher. Mistake.
Sorry, but the 49ers are very good with some really great players on both sides of the ball. Shanahan is a very good coach who, like McVay, kind of does the same thing every year scheme wise. So far it's not enough to win a superbowl.
I dislike that they beat us every year and act like they won the superbowl. But I'll be curious to see how the Chiefs deal with the Eagles. The AFC is more stacked than the NFC now, I believe, and that includes the 49ers.
