Rams did this alot, this is from Peterson's offense
that won Super Bowl
look at all the crossers, and all the receivers to one
side.
This is not an uncommon formation and uncommon
route concepts---
Essentially this is a play mean to go against
zone, quarters or cover-6 - like that.
If the opponent is shows a man defense (cover-1, 0, or 2-man) then the offense
kills to the play on the bottom which is a man beater
I don't get all of the reads and adjustments
but if the bottom "kill play" is gone to--
and they showed man (1, 0, 2) but play
cover-4 or cover-6 there are coversions
that the receivers make to beat what is
actually played and not what was showed
presnap. (look at the "Cover-4 conversion"
line---if it is Cover-4 and not 2-man or cover-0
or cover-1 then do this.
Hard stuff, at least for me.
