He'll do better, as you said, somewhere else. And as far as free agency he's just nowhere near the top priorities for the Rams. They likely do need to add another safety (maybe two). But Gaines, Gay, even Dixon perhaps are all more important UFAs to retain.
With Fuller hopefully back healthy, yeast and Lake they at least have building blocks at safety. But I also wouldn't dismiss the idea of them drafting a safety higher than we think (in the top 75-100 overall).
