Watched the highlights from last night's game and he sounded like he did not want to be there. MUUUUCH less enthusiasm that Tampa's near comeback vs the Rams last season. Sounded like he just didn't want to be there. It wasn't just a Jags thing. He sounded less enthused for both SD and Jax.
Michaels ego is huge, I'm sure he felt insulted that he was assigned this game over the Monday game of Tampa vs Dallas. On top of that being paired with Dungy who doesn't even do games anymore.

As far as I'm concerned Al Michaels jumped the shark with his commentary of Donald's near sack during the last play of the Super Bowl.
Less than enthusiastic effort on his part and it seems to be carrying over to this year.
