he's the best, when healthy
their rules said, "If a player missed five or more games as of Week 15, then they are ineligible. This is to ensure that we are choosing the best players who had the most impact this season. Being available counts."
So he was eligble when the voting happened...then never played again
guess availability does not matter
oh well . . . he made Pro Bowl, too
It's kinda interesting to me how we (as a board) might discuss the availability or injury history of Player X, Y, or Z on the current roster, the draft, or in free agency.
But, up until this season, those have NEVER been issues with Aaron Donald.
It's been a given that, not only will he be available, but that he'll play at the highest of levels. This is despite him likely playing, what...at least 75-80% of all defensive snaps where he gets hit by (or is likely hitting) 2 significantly larger offensive players (at minimum) on every single play?
I think his peers realized that (and the fact that the team's season was lost early on) and may have overlooked the rules here.
