The Rams made the Super Bowl after the 79 season, but which of your 70s teams do you think was the best? To that point, conservative playing calling and phantom calls aside, any ideas as to why all those great teams could not break through to the Super Bowl?
Who was the best player who you individually matched up with?

THE 1973 AND 1975 TEAMS OR 1976 WERE BEST OVERALL. THE 1973-78 DEFENSES WERE ALL GOOD, WITH MAYBE 1973-76 THE BEST. BUT IN 1973 WE DID IT ALL, IN 1976 WE COULD SCORE, BUT THE FAILURES IN POST SEASON WILL ALWAYS HAUNT ME. BUT WITHOUT PLACING BLAME ON ANY ONE PLAYER, OUR SPECIAL TEAMS LET US DOWN A COUPLE OF TIMES AND OUR QUARTERBACK PLAY WAS NOT TO THE LEVEL OF STAUBACH, STABLER, TARKENTON OR GRIESE.
