Had a friend that used to tell me about a canoe trip he went on a couple of times... in Canada. I forget exactly where. And it was a 'major' excursion. He said they'd fly back into a lake (wish I could remember where but it was eastern Canada somewhere).... then they'd canoe from lake to lake to lake to lake by connecting rivers. It was VERY long... taking them...... I think, 2 or 3 weeks?

In my mind I couldn't think of a better adventure. Every third day, at most, I have to bathe.... and when I do I want a hot shower. As much as I love the 'primitive' those below freezing baths in melted snow water on my Sierra Nevada backpacking trips I was NOT fond of. I NEVER got used to them.
