"The Land That Time Forgot" on Svengoolie, this Saturday. Had not thought of that movie in a long time till I saw the Svengoolie ad this morning. I remember my Dad taking me and my Brother to see that movie when I was in 2nd grade. I enjoyed it. Have seen Actor, Doug McClure in lots of things but always think of this movie. We saw it in the same Theater where Dad would take me to see "The Hindenburg" and a few years later, I'd see "Every Which Way But Loose". That Theater is now a large Discount Auto Parts. Yeah she has autobiographical memory which to date has only been found in 100 people in the world. Its really amazing what some peoples minds can do. I remember watching a show a few years ago about savants. The actress Marilu Henner claims she can remember every day of her life. Well.... probably not since birth so I'm not sure at what age she began storing the info.

I have vivid memories, like Gator, and aplenty.... but I do not think in the quantity Gator does. And sure... anything can spark a memory of something I haven't thought of since it happened. But, for example, if you say "Where were you and who were you with during the 1st Niner game of of the 1983 season?" not a chance in HELL I would be able to remember that... unless, of course, the game was particularly memorable. I've always liked Bruce Springsteen OK , but I would never consider myself a huge fan , never owned any of his albums

BUT !!!!!!!!!!

I meet my wife at a skating rink when we were still in High School , early 80's , Disco music had pretty much run it's course , but they still played stuff you could skate to ,but they always played these two Bruce Springsteen songs , Pink Cadillac and Cadillac Ranch , and those two song always stood out to be , because they always seemed so different from most of the rest of the music they played

so , to this day , even when I just hear a a Bruce Springsteen song , any song , I instantly think of my wife , but when ever I hear Pink Cadillac and Cadillac Ranch , a bazzillion memories from the early 80's come flooding back , like it was yesterday , I could sit here and fill up pages of memories from just those two songs alone

and I'm not talking about the big memories like like weddings or births and stuff like that

but just random stuff

example ......

I was probably like 7 years old , I'm laying on the floor in the living room watch The Planet of the Apes TV show , my two sisters were sitting on the sofa , both my parents were in the kitchen , like I said , I'm laying on the floor watching TV , and I have this box full of old pens , and I was going through the pens , to see which ones were still good or not

just a random event on a random night , nothing really happened , just another boring evening for a 7 years old , but yet , I can remember that night like it was yesterday , and I have no idea whatt I did the night before , or the night after , , I'm sure those nights were just as eventful...................lol

but why did I save that night , and not the others

Speaking of Testors glue...The smell of that sometimes triggers a memory of me TRYING to help my Brother when he was away at Summer School and I added MORE glue to the engine of his Starship Enterprise that would NOT dry properly. I think all I did was soften the plastic. LOL With ALLLLLL that said, I have a CRAP memory for studying material. I had people tell me... HOW are you not a Chief yet??? I have a TOUGH time reading and learning material. I have to bust my butt for average results for Promotion Exams. Right here and now, someone could tell me how to cut n paste something and I'll probably forget it in a day or two.......But watching the orange crane that helped replace the sewer line on my street in 1971 seems like yesterday! I first noticed this on the main board.... you could recall not only an ordinary Ram's game from 30 years ago but every single detail of the game including what you and your family did that day!
