I've been searching for a pair of white 80's style men's boots for quite a while.. Most rock musicians back then wore them.. at the time they were technically women's boots, so you had to get the largest pair you could find and tough 'em out until they stretched a bit.. I used to have a pair that I LOVED, but they disintegrated in my closet over the years.. sad day when I threw them out.. So, I just found a similar pair and ordered them . I'm probably one of the few guys left that - I think, at least - can pull that look off in the 2020's.. But, honestly, why can't I let go of the 80's? I do get a lot of cool compliments when I go out, but I'd bet 90% of the people are laughing under their breath.. I love wearing boots... I think it's just what you're used to. As a farmer a pair of sneakers would have lasted me a day, maybe less. :laughing

Currently I wear Redwing Work Boots.... amazingly comfortable. I do not wear lace ups for work boots; I wear slip-ons... I have no patience for lace-ups although I do admit they fit great.

My hunting, (mountain), boots are Danner's.... and they are lace up. The leather was the biggest problem.. I wanted weathered cracked black leather (like the Corral Bones boots I have) and they TRIED to find it - even having a little known boot maker in Mexico send samples, but they never got it right.. So, had to go with new black leather.. At some point I need to tie them to the back of the car and drive all over town lol..

I don't wear them very often.. I actually like the Corral boots better.. I need to wear the customs more and eventually will..

The wrap shoes are Vibram Furoshiki shoes.. these are ridiculously high, but you can check them out..

yea , a few years after my quest ended , I bought a pair of red high top Converse shoes , but by then , the thrill was kinda gone...............lol

although there was a time there in the 90's , I was obsessed with Converse All Stars , I had many colors , high and low tops

even though I owned many colors over the years , I mostly just wore the black ones , or if I wanted to get fancy , the white ones

I did own like a pair of Army Green ones , that pair lasted for ever !!!!!!!!!!!

I wear boots mostly for dressing up.. i have two pair of "cowboy" boots - one is a pair of Corral Bones with a snip (pointy toe).. Black with white skull and bones on them.. I also had a pair of cowboy boots made by Olsen-Stelzer that are black with my shark/cross logo on the top of the foot and a huge iron cross further up.. I'll include a photo fo them that is actually in their catalog..

You mentioned red sneakers.. I do have a pair of red Ferrari high tops that are pretty cool.. Ido have one pair of Converse High Tops in lime green..

I do remember some would don a pair of overalls just to be 'different' but that wasn't common.

But while we're speaking of fashion here's one I cannot wrap my brain around... men who think any type of pants, ANY, other than jeans are more comfortable than jeans.
