Dungy pointed to scheme failure which is obvious for those that have ever seen this scenario at the end of the game. Montana used to run it to perfection and it’s been copied ever since the 1980’s. Morris predictable soft zone scheme can work against most teams when our offense is scoring 30 per game, but it’s a train wreck right now and it should Never ever be used in that end of game scenario we just saw… 60 yards to go, 44 seconds and no timeouts. That is the problem with Morris. He is sooooo slow to adjust his defense to opponent and scenario. And it happened twice in this game but we were lucky the first time the TD was dropped. Don’t get me wrong the offense separately needs to be fixed but Morris scheme and inability to think on his feet is bad. It only works when you have a completely stacked defense such as the end of last year when 4 first ballot hall of famers could overcome his scheme. This is not to say Kendrick isn’t a problem either. I think we all concede that the rookie isn’t helping either. If you can't score more than 16 points per game, you should fire your head coach and get a new one mid-season.

While I am not saying fire McVay literally, if the offensive line gets somewhat back to average with Shelton coming back and this team doesn't start putting up closer to 30, I would question if we need to just do a full rebuild.

Clearly some good and some not-so-good in there. They are not getting enough pressure up front. Obviously. And being behind in games they are not able to just get after the passer as much as they did in 2021.

Personally I also like Kendrick and see nothing to complain about the kid so far. He was a 6th round pick. He's 2nd on the team in PD (4). Man times fans lack nuance. They cannot separate things. They have an agenda.
That agenda leads to posts that only attack Morris and never a single one
from any other board that thinks Morris is okay.

So, either they are a one-note board. Or we are getting things filtered by someone

The defense is better this year than last year and offense stinks, it is not scoring 30 a game.
