Even if we landed Burns (for 2 #1s apparently) or Chubb (maybe we offered a #1 and more-similar to what DOlphins paid) it was NOT going to be a Von Miller thing-- Rams problems are far deeper than the need for an edge rusher. While that is a big need, I can see why there were no trades Rams need to use that capital to build with premium picks and get young guys that are on rookie contracts that are not middle to late round picks that have maybe a 15-33% hit rate. So, the ring is the thing. We got it. Mission accomplished. And that's true but it doesn't mean you can't improve the O or D for that matter. Good teams/coaches "evolve and adjust" based on players and opponents at that time. You can't stand pat with what you got. If it means a couple of years of struggle to build back, especially the O line, then it still was worth it.

Rams might yet surprise this year by at least making the playoffs, although I no longer see SB as a likelihood.

Next year they simply reload, no rebuild will be necessary.

to upgrade with a talented, but streaky QB and
other stuff and went all in again.
