The thing with Durant and Forbes though is that they haven't yet showed the ability to be good cover guys. I personally think Forbes will break out. But I don't want to bet the season on it. I'd like to have more options.

Agreed. I don't think our cornerback room is deep or good enough to not take gambles. He's a good cover corner. I'd roll the dice personally.

Is that Alexander is talented when healthy and therefore worth the risk. Noteboom was often injured andb underwhelming when not.

If you can get him for a decent contract, seems like a no-brainer.

If he is healthy and plays in coverage like he has for the past few years . . .

. . . he's the kind of CB who can cover the other teams best.

Is that he's more of what we have already. Rams have two CBs who have some decent natural coverage ability but can't tackle for already in Durant and Forbes. And with Alexander he's generally disinterested in it since he can't stay healthy to begin with.

Have to admit it's not like I watch a ton of GB games or anything. Overall though I'd say Alexander is better than Durant or Forbes in his coverage ability. He would help us. But I imagine he is going to have suitors on the market and once you bring him in how much of an upgrade is he over Durant.

So my guess is the Rams don't win the Alexander sweepstakes. That will be another team who is more desperate for a coverage element.

Rams should have learned their lesson with White, Noteboom

When a player has a history of being constantly injured, such as Noteboom or White, it tends to remain so for the remainder of their career. Of course, that's not 100% so, so it would be one thing to take a guy on for a modest non-guaranteed amount, or a small amount plus an additional amount for each game he is deemed healthy to play.

But, this guy also has a history of being a grumbler and seems to only see things from his side. Might be his agent. Might be him. Might be both. I doubt he would see a "prove it" contract with incentives as anything but "disrepect".

Rams always look at locker room fit. Is he a fit?

I think they pass.

I think that's a fair worry. I wouldn't mind throwing several resources at the cb position and hoping for the best while preparing for the worst.

I'm concerned about his injury history.

"Multiple team sources have privately expressed their frustration with Alexander's inability to stay healthy and/or play through injuries." ("team sources" is in reference to the Packers) [www.espn.com]

He only played 4 games in 2021 (shoulder), 7 games in 2023 (knee), and 7 games in 2024 (season ending knee surgery)
