So, assuming Rams stay at 26, what position do you think is the pick?

Poll: What position is the Rams pick at 26, given best available info today? I know, I know. It will depend on who falls. But for this fun exercise let’s just go with best available info and our gut feeling.

QB
OT
TE
WR
DL
ILB
CB
S

Seems that this well balanced Ram roster will permit Snead to go in at least 8 different directions. A very good scenario, indeed.

TE... well I'm the turd in the punch bowl...

Because as important as the position is I NEVER want the Ram's to draft one.... not with ANY pick down to their last. Why? Because they won't use him, not as a TE that is.. I don''t think the Rams should even have a TE - I think they should just have another OL'man lined up in that position. and I do not think that would be a 'BAD' thing. And this goes WAY past McVay. It's been like since I started at a Ram fan back in... um..... the mid 1600's. The great ones we had, and we did have some, were exceptions and I think the respective coaches HATED that they were good at being a true TE and resented them for it.

Ok, some sarcasm... a lot maybe? :laughing But in essence I stand by it.... no TE's... get a OL instead. - JamesJM

And, it means that the player is head and shoulders above what we have now. With this thinking I think it rules out several positions such as QB, DL (both IDL and OLB) and probably even WR. I don't think that there is a QB better than Stafford, even giving them 2 or 3 years. For DL, OLB and even WR I don't think so either.

So, I think RB (which was not an option) could be a possibility
I also think TE could be an option
I also think that ILB, CB or even SAF could be an option

But, all of the above will really depend on all the Rams evaluations, which half of we don't have information about. I think especially about which young man really loves football. To be a game-changer you have to have excellent physical attributes and love the game.

I Couldn't Vote

IMO ILB is the biggest need, but the Rams never draft one early.... & just watching football you know the OTs will miss at least 4 games so for me that's #2 even though they probably won't be starters at the first of the year, & CB would be #3
DL could use some depth but not in the 1st.

I know right now TE is the glamor pick but for me if the top 2 aren't there you can find one later, no reaches
QB?? Come on... I'm not sure if there's a 1st rounder out there.

But obviously that would mean nailing a great CB. Short of that... lots of positions spring to mind.

LB. OL. And the most pressing concern is QB... although NOT this year, I don't think.
