My band played it's first gig in two years Saturday night. 2 hour gig which was a lot shorter than the gigs we used to play. Still recovering from all my health problems I figured I could do 2hrs easily. I was wrong. :laughing

BUT.. I made it! Then the next day. :laughing. Every damn muscle in my body was complaining. Plus... two nasty blisters. One of them where I had NEVER gotten a blister before. :confused

Like to say we did great..... we didn't. :flush. It wasn't horrible but two years off plus our advanced years was definitely audible.... or that is, audible if you happen to be sober - - which fortunately no one in our audience was. :laughing

Funny thing - back two years ago I was sick to death of the songs we played simply because we played them so much. THIS time I thought that after two years I would enjoy hearing/playing them again. Wrong again! :laughing. After two weeks of practice I was once again sick of hearing them.

So, I'm making it sound pretty bad, huh? It wasn't... just playing again, to an audience, was great! I enjoyed it immensely. But Father Time is whispering loudly in my ear that if I'm going to play again I should consider learning a lot of slow waltz's. :laughing

That stinker against SF... and then add in the injuries... has me cowering like a... well, a coward.

Am I giving up? OF COURSE NOT! I never give up. But I do think that stinker against SF means that some time will be required for the Rams to get their sea legs, (so to speak).

I've really been considering what many have discussed on the main board.... that starters need playing time in preseason. It was NOT only the Ram's that looked bad in those opening day games. Ever since losing Green in '99 in preseason I have been 100% behind sitting starters in preseason.... but now?

I'm not so sure.

Jordan Whittington is out.

I don't think Davante plays that role.

On the roster it shows Xavier Smith and tutu backing up Puka, behind Whittington.

They have Mumpfield and CJ Daniels as backups to Davante, but to me CJ Daniels could back up Puka.

Walker is extremely talented and now in an Andy Reid offense is dominant so far / top 2 RB in the league with Gibbs?

The Seahawks never used Walker enough / correctly.

As a Ram fan, I always worried Seattle would figure it out and give Walker 25 touches and he'd go for 150 yards with 2 TDs.

I think the Seahawks will live to regret not finding a way to keep him.

Called a TD a no catch. Even the announcers were shocked and confused.

Called a fumble when the catch was never made. The WR never made the required "football moves" to make it a catch.

It looks like the fix is in for the Cowboys. I really hate it when it so obvious what is going on yet we see it every week. The refs can't actually determine the outcome but they sure can "influence" it.

Just like they did against us in Shittatle during that final game for the #1 seed.

What a joke. Football is entertainment like WWE and not really a sport anymore. I am really surprised they get away with it like they do especially now that they are in bed with the gambling sites.

He wants the Bears to be the highest scoring team in NFL history this year. Beating out Peyton Manning and the Broncos 606 points.

I love it. Whether it happens or not, go for it. This is all entertainment. And if you score a bunch of points you usually win. The Bears are fast and explosive. Caleb Williams is Patrick Mahomes 2.0. Still young, but exciting.

I'm just a little jelly of teams with fast wide receivers and mixing up plays and throwing the ball all over the place to multiple receivers. Like the Bills.

I've pretty much given up hope of a fast wide receiver, because McVay won't use him.
