LAS VEGAS – Rams corneback Trent McDuffie (groin) is inactive for today's game against the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium (1:25 p.m. PT, FOX).

Also inactive for Los Angeles are quarterback Ty Simpson (emergency third QB), inside linebacker Nate Landman (concussion), offensive lineman Bill Murray, offensive lineman Keagen Trost and tight end Max Klare.

Landman was already ruled out in advance of the contest, while McDuffie had been listed as questionable.

Below are the inactives for both teams.

More runs called. Take advantage of Kyren and Corum to dominate and keep Raider offense off the field. A few RB screens would help keep Raiders offense off balance.

More 13 personnel to assist in run blocking and some unexpected passing targets that are very difficult to defend. Don’t forget Klare is available.

A few targets to CJ Daniels would be a nice change of pace and give Raiders something else to worry about.

Let’s see what Dolac has got at ILB. We might be pleasantly surprised.

Better run defense by DL staying in their lanes.

Better tackling throughout the defense.

A ST performance that merely approaches norms would be a giant step in the right direction. Is that too much to ask?

Even with so many Ram players out with injuries all the above should be enough to get the win. Some will want to argue about the coaches or teams being compared rather than the actual facts. Please don’t turn this into one of those discussions. The topic is Shanahan, Reid, McVay, and how often their offenses run the ball.

I realize the ranking below comes from the “experts” at just one site, but look at enough polls and rankings of NFL play-callers over the past 10 years, and these three consistently appear at or near the top, so let’s keep the discussion focused on the question and what the numbers tell us.

Rams were +2 in turnovers for the season. This year the Rams are -3 after 6 games.

Turnovers, ST, and poor officiating. Improve those 3 things and the Rams can turn things around.

The Rams are only a handful of plays away from being 5-1.

Will McVay know that they will sell out to stop the run too and if so, will he be in pass mode even more? I wouldn't be surprised. lol

We will have to be successful running the ball in order to have a chance imo. Relying on Whitt and Mumps to make enough plays for them to back off the run might not work.

Maybe we should just not play any WR's at all and just play all OL and TE's to try and run it down their throats! lol
