Me neither......and the past two seasons my eyeballs told me we had an entirely new.....and really weird.....offensive scheme. In this video, watch how well Goff executes a standard 12-15 yard out. This didn't exist the offense the past two seasons. If it did, it was very, very rare. Using the eyeball test.....why?by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
Peyton Manning first 5 years in league 28 interceptions 15 interceptions 15 interceptions 23 interceptions 19 interceptions Team game......so much more to consider than just turnovers. QB's take time to develop.....by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
I know that he wasn't asked to do much.....mostly a spread offense, correct?by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
I see it as a very big 'negative' I guess we will find outby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
Frankly, I'm still a little on the fence. I like Goff and think he thrives under a different dynamic and I wouldn't have given up this early for several reasons: I think he is a top 10-12 QB in the Matty Ice mold, he has experience winning and that extension. But I have always liked Matt Stafford, but I tend to like gunslingers: Fouts, Favre, Warner......I think Stafford is in that mold andby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
There is literally know way of knowing until they play next season. I do believe that Stafford/McVay's window of 'success' is minute now.....Super Bowl or bust....so let's hope they get a Lombardi. Otherwise, team is in trouble for well into the future......by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
1. Nolan Cromwell 2. Eric Dickerson 3. Aaron Donald 4. Kurt Warner 5. Ricky Proehl MAN....that is SO tough......so many guys I'd like to add!by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
We will all move on from Goff talk sooner than later, but looking at this is telling. The front office has done little to nothing to build the world's greatest offensive line......and that always makes or breaks a QBby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
....and as Rams fans, we all better hope McVay knows what he is doing.....but it seems very clear to me that McVay has issues. I saw these issues the last two seasons.... and man, giving up on Goff seems completely insane to me. I've posted enough, but it seems clear that Schrager has his doubts, but does a show with McVay so he is being careful. I think this board better brace itself forby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
I just got around to reading the other thread, but I'm surprised (or missed it) that no one commented on the insights/opinions on McVay. Starts at 5:15 goes 14:40 The comments on McVay match my concerns. Forget whether you like Goff or not.....these comments about McVay and his similarities to Gruden and 'his system' are really something....... I sure hope we get at least one Lombardiby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
I sure hope he lights up for us......or there is a good chance fans will run him out of town..... Some NFL people aren't in love with the trade.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
Oh man.....that is wild......a broken back.......errrrr, okay. Yikes.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
Am I reading that correctly?? Stafford has had a broken back that hampered him over two seasons???? Oh..... no.......by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't think Todd absolutely loves football. He quit football in high school and was basically begged by coaches to come back. He eventually did and was just a natural runner......but I have a suspicion he has never been in love with the game. He openly admits he really loves basketball. He also has fashion and style interests. I always figured that it was that stuff......and a bad knee....thby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
I too see the psychology of McVay and I hope he matures......but I'm starting to have some doubts "cough" Gruden "cough" I'm still trying to figure out how it was Goff's fault on those endless receiver screens, trap running plays with 190 lb. wide receivers, red zone play calling. I thought the play calling bordered on ridiculous in many games this past season. I'm not bby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
It's just not popular here....most here were ready to move on. I'm not one of them.....I think Goff's play has been overblown and blamed for everything. I think that is absurd. I personally think this is a mistake, but maybe Stafford just kills it. I saw the interview with Donald, read the Gurley comments. I don't know.......I just feel like Snead/McVay aren't what many think they are. We'vby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
I would say red hot.....and it will be in the media, peers, fans etc. But with Kroenke....I think he barely cares. So he could probably slide into several seasons of mediocrity before he made any moves.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
Hope this kid goes off next season.....let's draft some OLby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
It was not a good look......and compare that to Goff right now.....valid point. I was speaking more to the bad blood .... when people do that, there is typically more negative stuff to the story. Just a my thoughts.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
they were both going on and on for sure.....at one point, Rodney felt like he wasn't being heard and it got a little tense.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
His football speaks for itself....Stafford has none of what Goff has.... But wow.....he gave 250K to underprivileged kids in Inglewood. He spent time with people, especially kids, who lost people in the bar shooting. He became active in supporting people through the SoCal fires, giving money and time. Weird man. Time's like these make me realize I root for players.....people....and the disrby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
Apologies RamBro, some of my comments were based on info from the article, as well as claims in the video I posted in this thread. Yes, the video reports that Goff was blindsided and found out like the rest of us did....I did note the Silver article which said McVay called him from Mexico(wear he apparently was hanging with Stafford at some point), but it sounds like after he had to hear fromby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
It's cool.... I'm not likely to be the guy that thinks this trade is all roses.....I have serious concerns...curious your take on the video I posted in this thread featuring Rodney Harrison.....interesting comments from him .....by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
.....I've read some of your posts and respectfully, find you do the same when presenting your thoughts on certain subjects. However, I appreciate that....otherwise, this board is boring. I left for several years and noticed many other great posters have left as well. I think posting differing views adds to discussion. As someone that coaches and leads teams, I do not think this is a 'mountaby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
