Durant and Kendrick were horrible. Don't have much faith in either of them. Hoecht is different. Not only is he playing out of position, but edge rushers never are asked to cover WRs split wide. And Hoecht is fast but not that fast. And even if he could keep up with their speed he's not a corner. He's not used to back pedaling, making lightning quick stops and finding the ball. He's a NT.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Agree this could be an issue going forward. Stafford is a tough bird though. Amazing he won that game last week with no hip. Rams did address this issue by drafting Bennett. Nobody knows what's going on with him right now. Many suggest he could be in rehab. Will he come out successfully? Not sure that the Rams even know. Besides these guys we have practically nothing. Cooper Kupp is probably oby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Nice article. Only criticism is our GM is Snead.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Very proud of our Rammies after yesterday's game. They played hard and we're in it the whole way. Biggest problem is we are thin. Noteboom was out, Jackson was playing injured, Shelton got hurt and even Havs went down. We were playing an undefeated reigning NFC champion and were even leading and only failed in the end due to injuries, youth and inexperience. The missed tackles were the other killby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
It's actually a decent notion. The thing is Saffold could never stay healthy either especially at LT and then became a very good guard. Is this the same thing?by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
2 typos in one short article. Yikes!by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Puka has starred in CK's absence but his targets will fall off when the best WR in the NFL joins him on the field. He might still win rookie of the year but the Falcon's RB is doing great and I'm sure this Shroud guy, whoever he is, is good too. Way too early to predict post season awards. Less than a quarter of the way through the schedule. Health determines a lot.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Won't even read this. Tutu has been terrific. He catches the ball that is thrown to him. Most go Puka's way. Doesn't take away from Tutu. Not one bit. Why do these writers waste time with these articles?by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Should da signed our kicker. And I can't understand how Hoecht would ever be out wide in coverage. I can see him chasing a back who is slinging out but to put him straight on with a WR at his size is ridiculous.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Glad SB is doing really well. Don't know what that means. But, glad anyway. Never seen such a team of mystery. Guys getting deactivated and put on non medical leaves. Guys who are questionable play every snap. I feel like I'm watching Harry Potter and the kids are hiding under the cloak. Our HC tells us that a player has a good look in his eye and we're supposed to follow that logically. It's gotby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Agree on VJ. He will probably have his last real chance to make a positive impact for the Rams Monday night against the Bengals. In the first game he outright dropped a perfectly thrown bomb which cost us a TD. In game 2, he waited on a long pass rather than come back toward it that became a key interception. He hasn't had a lot of targets and these two are unforgivable. Professional receiversby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Okay. So, Puka has now set a rookie record in catches of 25 in first two games and somebody has another WR ranked higher? And what does Avila need to do to move up? Like that Turner is ranked and Young is mentioned, but seriously, what is the criteria for these? One last thing, is anyone outpunting our new leg?by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
I went to the game yesterday. The two interceptions weee perfect passes. KW had it go right off his hands. It would've hit him in the nose. The one to VJ was also perfectly thrown but it was a long pass and VJ needed to come back to grab it. I played WR through high school and you need to go get the ball. It's not enough to body the ball later because if you come toward the ball and place it wiby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Ball control does keep a defense fresh and you can't give up yards and scored from the sidelines. Very big factor for the Seahawks game defense, but they also seemed to make a bunch of halftime adjustments that really helped. The most glaring was the edge guys were all fighting to get inside and Walker kept beating them outside. They are call Edge because they line up on the outside edge and theiby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm very optimistic about our young players. The Rams have had some very impressive drafts under Snead. They got AD in the mid first round one season. Doesn't matter who else was picked. He's the DT GOAT so that was a great draft. Snead also snagged Kupp in the third round and he was a WR triple crown winner. That makes that draft special. Avila might be an All Pro every year. Looked like a vby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Last season he lost almost every good player to injury. He had no QB, his best WR was out and he has no OL. On D, he lost AD. Can't hold the losses against McVay's record. He has some stats returning and a lot of talented young players. He beat a division opponent in their home filed. Our HC is special.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
That while drive against the Raiders was magical. I was thrilled to see it live.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Article said there are no 40 times for Kendrick. He ran a 4.77 at his Pro day. Crazy slow for a CB. Do these guys even Google stats before posting? I don't see how this guy can be expected to keep up with 4.3 and 4.4 guys on a regular basis. I guess this is why we line up 15 yards up the field. Problem is those 7 yard plays kill you. And if he creeps up to take away the short ones they'llby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
I am flummoxed. Ancrum has been working to play RG for years and apparently won the starting position. We just traded for a mammoth RG. So, we're now playing our oft-injured LT who sucked at LG at RG? Sure, he draws the biggest pay check, but is he really better than Ancrum and Dotson? Can he play in the right side? What happened to his injury? Weirdness.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
First, Goff was a great pick. It was arguably a two horse race with him vs. Wentz. Goff led us to a Super Bowl. He was then traded for a QB that won us the Super Bowl. Wentz is an unsigned free agent. Snead picked AD 14th one year. HOF and GOAT DT. Snead picked Kupp in the 3rd round. Triple Crown winner. He hadn't had a first pick in almost a decade. Let's see what he does next yearby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Oh, getting to the stadium totally sucks. It's expensive and inconvenient. Might be the worst of the arenas. Once inside, it's a dream.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
My summary- Kupp isn't playing. Somehow the team had a good look in their eye. Whatever that catchphrase means. He doesn't have a starting five at OL less than a week before real season begins. That's scary. He loves to talk and says lots of words but somehow gives us no information.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
It was a practice game. Nothing goes on your personal record. McVay didn't earn an L. We are not 0-1. That this kid needs to pay 4444 out of his pocket is ridiculous. If it were me I'd be talking to my union rep about why these games are being played at all and how he can be fined for making a tackle in a fake game. I also find it crazy that owners charge regular game prices for fans to watchby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Actually it is special. I've enjoyed many games there and a concert and the palace has a great vibe. The scoreboard is unbelievable. I can't see 9 better places to see a game. I've been to the Cowboys monstrous stadium. Not as nice. Best part is that the Rams play home games there.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
What is McVay supposed to do? I'm sure he didn't tell his player to do that. The guy got tossed and fined. Sure, he could talk to his player afterwards but would that be wise? The kid is probably embarrassed about the play. I think the entire conversation could be..."don't do that again." "Right. Sorry. I won't."by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Overall, I lined the article, but have one little criticism. He wrote, " He already has three career interceptions after playing defensive snaps in just seven games last year, so he produced a lot of big plays in limited action." 3 is a few. 3 is not a lot. 8 would be a lot. Words matter.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Ian Rappenport has absolutely no idea if Kupp will play next Sunday. None. I get that reporters often speculate about everything and need to do so, especially when teams try to hide so much from them. I'm glad Kupp is going to see a specialist. Wish he had done so the first time his hammy grabbed. Only problem is doctors will explain the fragility of the human body and can't tell anyone thatby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't like this. First our guy was also being grabbed by the face mask on the play. Should've been offsetting penalties and if you eject one eject both. Did the other guy get fined? And how do you get fined for a play in a game that doesn't count? It was a practice game. Also, for a late round drafted rookie this could be very expensive. How do we have such a huge disparity in salaries yet thby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
A few thoughts. First, let's not compare Akers to Gurley. Totally different talents. TG30 was the top RB taken in his class at 1-10. He would've been a top 5 pick but was injured. He was Offensive Player if the Year. He had rare speed. He could hurdle tacklers. He could catch passes and block. He was smart. Next, he flashed and then tore his Achilles. He had the most amazing comeback. He waby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
