Quotewaterfield The Padres don't suck. Not at all. They are an excellent team. To answer James question the issue arose when Tattis hit was a sure home run only to be caught by a great leaping catch by Bellinger. It was the 3rd out and the Dodger pitcher threw his hat in the air and threw his glove away and jump up and down like the game was over. Manny Machado took exception to that and it almoby 21Dog - Bucky's Pub
QuoteAtlantic Ram Never a huge fan of the group, although I do love some of their songs. But Eddie Van Halen is always at the top of the list as far as guitarists go. Really a phenom. Had a hard time getting past David Lee Roth as a front man. Definitely a fan of Eddie, though.by 21Dog - Bucky's Pub
I think what you saw there was Brown struggling to catch the ball. Looked like he bobbled it briefly before gaining control. Might have cost him the first down.by 21Dog - RamsFootballFans.com

after last week's heartbreaker. But I still thought they would beat a team that was manhandled by the 49er JVs by a comfortable margin. Very, very disappointed in the dink and dunk offense. And after a white hot start, the pass rush disappeared in the second half.by 21Dog - RamsFootballFans.com
Jones had at least a first down if he tucks it down and runs. Did I notice Donald wasn't on the field on that play?by 21Dog - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteJamesJM I was a mere child when they became all the rage. I remember, however, being fascinated by them. Well, sort of.... I liked some of their attire, and I liked the 'cool' and 'casual' jazz concerts held in various basements around the country. BUT... Other than Maynard, whom 21Dog brought up and was great, whenever I saw them portrayed on TV, or in movies, they didn't come off asby 21Dog - Bucky's Pub

but it was called The Year of the Pitcher. Denny McLain won 30 and Drysdale threw 58 2/3 consecutive scoreless innings. What I don't get is how Gibson lost 9 games with a 1.12 ERA. The lowering of the mound was more of a collective effort. .by 21Dog - Bucky's Pub

During the Dodger game last night it was mentioned by one of the commentators that many of the best players at the MLB level were multi sport athletes growing up. So many of the skills from one sport translate to another. Bottom line (according to many) is play as many as you can. Parents guiding their kids toward one sport usually do so with dreams of a college scholarship or a professionalby 21Dog - Bucky's Pub
Not close to his regular season standards, but as was pointed out last night Hall of Famers Maddux and Glavine were both below .500 pitchers in the postseason. Not an excuse for Kershaw, just pointing out he's not the only great pitcher who's struggled in the postseason.by 21Dog - Bucky's Pub
