Bye Barron...too small Bye Joyner...too small What's the strategy to replace Sullivan?by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm betting he's back for one more go...by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
ok...then it was seven.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
It's been discussed and it was discussed again after the Super Bowl. Just look how Goff called plays. Why don't the Rams run more hurry up? Why didn't they during the Super Bowl? They actually had success doing it. The training wheels need to come off...period. Hyperbole schmerbole. And...just watch McVay...he has that darn chart in front of his face until right before the play.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
that isn't even an arguable point.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
If McVay doesn't let Goff take over and start reading defenses on his own...at least 75% of the time, Goff will never develop further. It's time to get out his ear the whole game. Defenses are catching on...and you could see it as the season ended. Notice that after the KC game...there were no more WRs running wide open like earlier in the season. NFL D coordinators aren't stupid.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
we have the personnel to do it. But, he stayed in that tight formation...21...and as it goes in the NFL, sooner or later, they figure you out. McVay needs to expand...he has the ability...but will he do it. And...the training wheels need to come off for Goff. This calling the play with 15 seconds left is also an issue. In fact, Belichick kicked his play calling arse because of it IMOby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Where in the heck the screen pass was for three quarters!by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
want give me a little credit on calling this one? lol Clowney would look great next to Donald. I would be willing to give up the 1 and something in 2020.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
more sacks means less running. If teams run less because of sacks, that is stopping the run.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
no one is going to agree with me on Everett... But he just isn't physical enough. I wish we had that chart of where players catch passes. Everett, this is as much as I'll admit, has limited talent on the outside. But, we have the outside covered...so he really isn't all that valuable. Everett is not the prototypical TE I'm talking about. He's not a guy who commands attention insiby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Clowney would be a great pairing with Donald.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
not sure spending money on Garcon would make any sense. You have... Cooks Woods Kupp Reynolds and then there's Everett as a fifth. Why?by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
just a horrendous move IMO. We have other holes to fill and Goff can wait a year.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm not versed on this guy but the position...to me...is the one huge difference maker on offense...and a guy that will help Jared Goff because the QB we hope to have.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I think the Rams should look hard at Clowney. Suh and Brockers total $25 million in cap savings. Are we better with Donald, another rookie DT, Clowney... Or...Do we keep some combo of Donald and Brockers or Suh with another guy?by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
That is what the Rams brass is going to have to deal with...by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Really? These are the areas you look? This is how you calculate cap savings potential? Brockers...really? And if you lose Suh? Joyner...you don't include because he is a free agent? This article misses 75% of the analysis...and therefore is deemed meaningless. Get to work Cameron!by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
You mentioned McVay needs addition personnel groupings...that I agree. However, you kind of jump on Cooks and he had over 1,000 and made keys catches during the season. Let me beat the horse that has died 1,000 deaths... Get a darn TE that can stretch the field, create space in the middle and give our WRs some space underneath. And for those who are about to tell me Everett is a guy wby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
McVay was schooled. He's young...he'll improve. Time for 2019.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I forgot exactly...but I know I was on board for the Super Bowl. win.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
and while I was watching the game... I kept asking...where are the screen passes? I believe I saw one to Cooks...and it worked...but that was about it. In 2017, the Rams were one of the best screen pass teams in the league. It disappeared this past season.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Where's McVay's adjustments...let's not use outcoached? Where's Goff's poor recognition and late deliveries? And where does the Reynolds option come from? Why do some constantly put Reynolds as somehow not getting things done? Big enough? Isn't that the job of a TE? Reynolds was fine. Or do you mean making big enough plays? We saw Reynolds wide open on plays...but Goff made his mind uby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Keep everything short and in front. It worked too.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteroman18 I am not saying TE is set.....but I'm not saying a QB is regressing when he has a bad game either, as you say. Goff did regress. The TE's were not a factor in that game, very true. But there are several things that may go into that.....need for more blocking as the line was poor, they may have been open, but watching on a TV you can't see it and he just did not throw in the progrby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
that is where Everett lives...the numbers to the sidelines. We already have wideouts who can do that.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I think McVay is part of the problem and doesn't use the middle of the field. I hope he learned something last night. I will say McVay, while not using the middle of the field to attack, seemed to do moreso in the playoffs. But...we need help in that area...big time IMO. And Kupp didn't make a living in the middle...he was outside... I've been specifically watching this all season.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
we just need to sure it up...and add some...on both offense and defense.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
you just see what's in front of you. I'm thinking about what can be. You don't need a TE in your mind because you think we are as good as we need to be...or the capabilities are out there. Well...they aren't. And, the offense needs to get better. It wasn't dominating in the last third of the season like the first 2/3. Injuries...yeah...in part. But Goff, IMO, regressed.
