QuoteAll I'm saying is that if Goff's needle is up, I simply don't see the Rams pursuing Cousins. Neither is anyone else Rock. If you had said THAT, I don't think anyone would have disagreed.by laram - RamsFootballFans.com
Quote1. In this football era, I’d argue that a probowl DT is more valuable than a probowl LT. And I believe the NFL decision makers feel the same. Why? Follow the money. A few weeks ago, I posted average salaries for each position. DTs were 3rd after QBs and Edge Defenders. NFL GMs are choosing to compensate pass rushers more than pass protectors. That should tell you something. Let's just loby laram - RamsFootballFans.com
He was absolutely awful in the last game of the season against the Gnats a game that could have put them in the playoffs. IF that game is indicative of who he is in crunch time...I don't want him! But I believe McVay will.by laram - RamsFootballFans.com
Mainly for two reasons. 1. Goff is NOT McVay's guy, he didn't draft him nor does he have any idea at this point how long it will take Goff to be what he needs him to be. 2. McVay knows Cousins and Cousins knows McVay. Supposedly McVay invested a lot of time in Cousins to get him where he mastered the offense. That has value. So IF Cousins doesn't get signed in Washington and Goff dby laram - RamsFootballFans.com
IMO is severely impacting the ability of personnel people to properly evaluate players. We all know the difficulties associated with evaluating spread offense qb's, but as a result evaluating offensive lineman has become problematic as well. Case in point Greg Robinson: I don't think his failures have anything to do with desire, from all indications he is a hard worker. He even tooby laram - RamsFootballFans.com
You have to be pleased that he's so pleased with where the defense is. He of course has not seen them live but from an effort and mental aspect he seems really high on what he's seeing. Coming from the Rams previous defense this is probably a breath of fresh air for the players. We should see far few mental errors. QuoteArizonaRamFan Agree except for one typo in your response. GRob wasn't a valuable 2nd ROUND pick, he was an immensely valuable second OVERALL pick. AND the 18m. QuoteSo the Rams just simply went shopping for any trade that got them that cap savings. They simply gave up on GRob and wanted to try and get the best deal they could for him. A 6th was all they could get, they're backs were against a wall. They essentially invested a valuable 2nd rd pick plus about $18M in a player that gave them nothing. On the field nor in trade. Hacksaw_64 from RFU on Aaron Donald: He's a tremendous talent no doubt. But he just doesn't alter the scoreboard enough. IMO 100 + million dollar players contracts should be reserved for players that alter the game and score. I am not to say AD can't be that player he just isn't that complete player yet. His strength is his gap penetration ability. It's also become a liability.by laram - RamsFootballFans.com
Fact is with the Rams multiple fronts he plays 0, 1 and 3 techs depending upon the alignment. He's NOT a nose tackle. Both Fisher and Williams have said that publicly. Williams even said in an interview, "Why would I coach them (Brockers and Donald) differently they play the same position. Quoteno name Often injured guy but a hell of a competitor. He's a perfect McV offense guy. I doubt he'd be interested in a one year deal with the Rams unless he thinks he can be the man amongst a young WR group but it's worth discussing.by laram - RamsFootballFans.com

Jordan Mathews a slot receiver in only his second season had 997 yds with 8 TD's and that was after Kelly got rid of all his offensive skill players. QuoteThere was a lot of dialogue about his off season work to improve his throwing motion yet he's been less than stellar in OTA's thus far with yesterday's practice apparently being his worst to date. That article hardly speaks to what you intimated here. He had ONE less than stellar practice in inclement weather conditions.
