I hope Latu has a long and healthy career and life. Some team will draft him in the first round. I am fired up to see them draft a pass rusher. It could easily be a DT in the first round and an Edge in the second. Newton in the first and Kneeland in the second could play out. I am not trying to make any point but the discussion about Latu's neck is reminding me of worrying about Quinn coming into the NFL with brain health concerns. I enjoyed rooting for Quinn, and I am glad he had a long career and remains in good health. They both had long productive careers. Ryan Kerrigan had 95.5 sacks in the NFL. Robert Quinn had 102 sacks in the NFL. Fisher was almby Rams Junkie - RamsFootballFans.com
I skip the intro and start at the dash in the line. But the content is interesting. The discussion about Verse using power helping his speed rush is helpful. Maybe the Rams get one of these Edge rushers. Dallas Turner has the best reach and the best 40 but he seems like he is out of the Rams reach unless they are very aggressive in a trade. Verse looks like the best combination of speed, reach and productivity that might be in play (but I doubt it). He has had 9, 9, 10.5 sacks over the last three seasons. But if Dallas, Verse, Latu are off theby Rams Junkie - RamsFootballFans.com
The article at the top of this thread is interesting. I do appreciate it. I remember a scout expression "If they don't bite when they are pups, they don't bite as dogs." I am not sure that is the case here. I am not trying to steer the Rams draft. I am just trying to understand why they are bringing in a player. "The Seahawks are sending one of their two third-round picks (No. 78 overall) and a fifth-rounder (No. 152) to Washington in exchange for Howell, a fourth-round pick (No. 102) and a sixth-round pick (No. 179). That certainly makes Zack Wilson signing as a Ram seem more of a possibility than simple conjecture. ZW as a third string developmental QB makes it more intriguing. It's a low investment. It will be interesting to see if McVay sees anything there that is worthwhile as a reclamation project. Wayward QBs want that McVay bump. So why not take it to the third QB in the room?
