They voted to take away a year of eligibility for players who were held back in 8th grade. Hmmmmmm.... Let me say right up front.... I haven't thought this through so I have NO firm opinion on this... what follows is gut reaction. My first thought was 'good rule'... but I had that thought because I know of several, (yes several even though I'm from a small town), kids who were held back spby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Do you think the number of pitching changes in today's game actually pays off? It may... I admit, but it does irk me when a pitcher is on his stuff throwing his best and is pulled based on the type of hitter coming to the plate... or for any other reason.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

Cheers I saw every episode until the last...ummm, maybe two seasons. Seinfeld I have seen glimpses of, damn few, but I don't think I ever saw an entire episode.. I've never seen Game of Thrones either... but I think that is the mostly highly praised TV Show I have ever heard people talk about. VERY loved... I think people would stop watching in mid-Super Bowl to discuss Game of Thrones shoulby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Started it, I don't know, sometime in the first week of January and other than this last Thursday's binge eating at a Crab Dinner I have not strayed once. Not even a bite of food that isn't on my diet. There is also bad news: At this rate of loss I won't reach my goal weight until our sun explodes in a supernova. When you get my age the pounds simply do not want to come off. But that's wheby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I haven't memorized the days/times yet (I never will, I don't have that gene in me), but I do occasionally try to locate it now. I think Everybody Loves Raymond was the last sitcom I got into... and that was after it hit syndication. Loved that show.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
My granddaughter is insisting I watch it in the belief that I will love it. I dunno. I started it last night... didn't watch a whole episode but that's not because I grew bored (although I did), it's because I just wanted a quick view to see what it's about then go to sleep. So I don't know if it's something I would like... but I DO know that... The very first thing I noticed was that yelloby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

Is Calif. doing nothing at all in the last 40+ years to address water storage when the states population has grown from what? 15 Million to 40 Million? - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
We will receive, maybe, 30% of our water allocation. This is an incredibly complex and involved topic.... to try to break it down here would eat up the board. :laughing But if you're interested there are several resources on the internet you could check out. NASCAR in California today... down in Fontana... I forget what they call the track now. I've said since the track opened that it's the most boring track in the USA... for NASCAR anyway. Less than 10 laps into this race the cars will be so spread out you could land a Cessna between them... and it will stay that way to the Checkered flag. I'm saying this because by doing so.... Can't believe I'm posting this because I think I've been Akers' biggest supporter, (on this board).... I felt I saw 'elite' ability when Akers came aboard.... the injury set him back.... he made a very nice return... damn near miraculous, but as highly as I regarded him, and hope that he truly is back.... I think the RB position has to be addressed. No, not talking Taylor....not for that....by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
One of my all time favorite movies. And IMHO it holds up perfectly... great acting, great story, great sets, great costumes, pretty much great everything.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

the artistry old film makers could come up with in a Black and White Film. Some of those old movies, many actually, astound me. Citizen Kane, for example... I can well understand people hating the movie, the story, but the cinematography in that movie rival the greatest art ever created. There ARE color movies as creative and masterful.... but I don't think a very high percentage. Aby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I don't remember a lot about it... other than the fact that I enjoyed it the first time. About falling asleep during movies.... I'm getting bad about that. Actually... the last several movies I've started on Netflix I fell asleep watching no more than a half hour into the movie..... and not just that.... I never followed up with any of them to see the ending. Hollywood must hate me. :laugby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
There are some horror movies, several actually, that I have seen and enjoyed.... but in general that's not a genre I look to when trying to find a movie to watch. This one looks entertaining. I liked The Exorcist, (first one), a LOT... but didn't follow up. I don't think I saw any of the others made after that first one... some HAD to be pretty good, right? I am, however, a fan of thoseby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
while having an O that puts up lots of points allows for a D that allows for quite few works.... it doesn't sit right with me, being a D kinda guy. :laughing I want a ferocious and violent D that shuts down everybody... both run and pass. Crushing an O that comes in as a stat leader and the media has pronounced as unstoppable is probably the most satisfying thing that can happen in footballby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com

My daughter just sent me a photo of 99 in Tulare County and both lanes are a lake. I can't tell where the photo was taken but it must be close to town because there are a few businesses in the background. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
A partner in my ranch drove past the gate to get in yesterday, before the big storm hit. Can't get into my ranch because the creeks are flooding. Snow level is definitely low.... about 2' at the bottom of our ranch where it almost never snows. And like I said, this was before the big storm all last night. My grandson wants to pack in on foot. :laughing At his age he probably could do itby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
but this was so long ago i don't really remember how they were made.... but I do know they weren't the blue glasses. The lenses were different... I mean the shape of the area on the lens that did whatever they did to help.... they looked like regular lenses.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
This is a photo of the Coast Range... NOT the Sierra Nevadas, (the truly big mountains). highest peaks in this area of the Coast range is about 5,000'... most mountains are under 4,000'. This view is not from my home... but close. In a normal year we might see a light dusting of snow on the very tops of these mountains once, maybe twice a year. And not across all the mountains but only tby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
After posting the above message I did an internet search... found some glasses they say work for night, low light conditions, and bought them. How confident am I that they'll actually help? Not very... but hey, worth a try for $25. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
When I was getting some new reading glasses some years back the optometrist asked me if I'd like some computer glasses. He said it would help if you're looking at a computer screen often... I got a pair and believe it or not... they DID help. But he also said they make glasses for night time driving... I didn't need a prescription for anything but reading in those days so I didn't get a pair.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
