"Young Frankenstein" by Mel Brooks used some of the original props from "Frankenstein".by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
They no longer point out the sites for many of those old movies. For example: All the town scenes in "Frankenstein" were filmed on the back lot of Universal but the guides don't even mention that these days.... people don't remember those old movies. I remember riding the tour tram and passing by the Arch used in Frankenstein and turning to my oldest grandson and telling him about iby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I can't even imagine. I toured a C-17 some years ago and THAT amazed me. A C-17's interior can be configured any number of ways but in the one I explored there were also stairs leading to the cockpit. At the top of the stairs was, wellllll, I can only describe it as a 'balcony'. :laughing I remember thinking if one fell off the balcony to the lower level it would kill you. I remember it quite fondly but don't remember it well. Question... for everyone - - a few years ago I remember reading about movie, (newer movie), that used some of the same props used in the original Frankenstein. Anyone know which movie that was? Apparently all those old props used in Frankenstein are still stored.... someplace!by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

Skimming quickly over subject titles I did a double-take thinking you had said "Bruce Burns".... neighbor of mine who I grew up. Too bad you didn't mean him because I instantly had a retort - "Bruce? He's firkin' 74 years old.. have you lost your mind?". :laughingby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com

I had a large Teddy Bear that I put in my bass drum to dampen it... then played without a resonant head OR a clear one so he was easily visible. He was stolen at a gig.... I was crushed... he had been with me for years. I never replaced him because he was irreplaceable... I changed to various pillows.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I was thinking, "wow, amazing how much customization guitar players do, unlike drummers. After market guitar business must be bigger than after market auto parts". That was my first thought... but then I thought a bit more about and realized, "hey JamesJM, rethink that... after market drum customization is just as big". :laughing Personally I have done very little actuby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I wish I could have met him but didn't get the chance. I didn't even know he was going to be here until just before kickoff. Not sure but I think they gave him a Kerman Lions shirt? This is him on the left and our coach on the right.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
That topic came up many times last night. And they're always so anxious to get bigger - older - and all the while I'm thinking "stop... stay that age for at least a few more years". :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

Ashton is just under 5' 10".... my oldest grandson, Mason, is 6' even and his brother Gavin 5' 10". So if the reason you're asking is to compare to me.... yeah, they all tower over me. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Ashton lit it up tonight. Over 200yds rushing in the 1st half... 4 rushing TD's for the night and threw for another. Didn't play a lot in the 2nd half so no idea of his total yds rushing. And all this in front of Bob Ladouceur.... know him? You might have seen him, (or rather the actor who played him), in the movie "When The Game Stands Tall"... ex-Coach for De La Salle. You bring up a fascinating topic... I can't answer it. Favorite Boxer. In the 70's and 80's there were so many that I loved to watch. Nearly all of them in the lighter weight classes. I was a huge fan of Alexis Arguello, Carlos Monzon, Julio Chavez, Hector Camacho, Ray Mancini, the list is very long. But the boxer I very first became a super-fan of was Floyd Patterson. To a team they trounced in the regular season. He hasn't as yet responded to my texts so I'm pretty sure he's not taking it well. We got to watch the game because his school live-streamed it on Facebook. But Nico, (my grandson), has another year left in HS... he'll be back.... And even though I was always aware of that it didn't dampen my love for the sport. Getting back into it isn't easy.. however, because it's like the powers that be in Boxing are intentionally trying to destroy the sport... if they haven't already. right now the marquee match-up that most agree with be the bout of the last decade is going thru all that bickering BS.... that being Spence vsby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
It's been 10 years that I've had a grandson on the HS Varsity.... next year - nope! BUT.... after a one year break my youngest grandson becomes a Freshman in HS... but tonight....
