List of current coordinators and assistants Rams have requested to interview: Anthony Lyn, Matt Patricia, Josh McDaniels, Doug Marrone, Kyle Shannahan, Sean McVey. Also expected to interview Harold Goodwin of Arizona.by HighPlainsDrifter - RamsFootballFans.com
A guy who knows how to play left tackle. He doesn't need to be a Hall of Famer. He doesn't even need to make the Pro Bowl every year. Just a guy who knows how to play left tackle.by HighPlainsDrifter - RamsFootballFans.com
I can't believe that Williams and Payton will ever work together again. Weirder things have happened, but, truthfully, Williams isn't really a must-have. He does a good job, but it's not necessarily a job that others can't get done as well. Williams' defenses in New Orleans were ranked 25th, 4th, and 24th in yards per game. His defenses with the Rams have been OK to pretty good, but have brokby HighPlainsDrifter - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm not getting any younger and I am having serious doubts that I'll see any real football out of the team that I have chosen to follow during my lifetime. It's been so long now, almost a quarter of my life. This past season has really sapped my enthusiasm. It was just incredible to see this team go from mediocre to possibly the worst professional football team I have ever seen, and that incluby HighPlainsDrifter - RamsFootballFans.com

It has it's deficiencies, but those deficiencies are far more apparent the longer they are on the field. Those deficiencies don't show themselves quite so often when the D is standing on the sidelines watching their offensive teammates move the ball down the field. You have to have a historically great defense to succeed with an offensive unit as inept as the Rams is. Obviously, the Rams don'tby HighPlainsDrifter - RamsFootballFans.com
I'd work pretty tirelessly to make that happen if I were in a position to do so. There are some pretty good running backs in the college game right now that would do nicely in his place if it meant ridding the team of an apathetic attitude. I'm not saying Gurley has that attitude. I don't know. But if he demonstrated clearly that he does feel that way, I wouldn't have a problem with he and anby HighPlainsDrifter - RamsFootballFans.com
Whether you liked Dick or not, his tenure resulted in our only Super Bowl win. Since then, things have not gone so well with the men that have been entrusted with leading this team. Hiring a good, solid head coach is probably more uncertain than drafting the right quarterback. I have gotten excited in the past when the Rams hired what just about everyone thought was the best available coach (Sby HighPlainsDrifter - RamsFootballFans.com
What is Sean Payton without Drew Brees? We don't have anything even close to Brees. How does Payton deal with that? He rarely had a defense that could take up the slack of offensive shortfalls, as rarely as it was needed. I don't know. I'm not sure that Sean Payton is going to be worth the draft pick or picks it will take to get him. Picks are something that I would think are at a premium wby HighPlainsDrifter - RamsFootballFans.com
that we might like to see gone. You have to field a football team and it simply is possible to shutter everyone on this team that needs to go in one offseason. That's what makes this whole thing so tough to take. Unless someone comes in there and either catches lightning in a bottle or does the most masterful job of reshaping a football team ever, it's going to be a while before we can hope foby HighPlainsDrifter - RamsFootballFans.com
to the burn-and-build projects of the previous decade. How does a franchise find itself in this situation so often? How can an organization be so blatantly and routinely incompetent? Seems like a classic example of the blind leading the blind. Just incredible. I don't believe in curses, but if anything could change my mind, it would be the Los Angeles Rams.by HighPlainsDrifter - RamsFootballFans.com
They were a competitive team until they lost that game. Not a good team by any stretch of the imagination, but they were a play or two, or a break or two away from winning some games. They weren't the same team after that loss.by HighPlainsDrifter - RamsFootballFans.com
Rob Boras might end up being the coach next season. I can't imagine anyone with an ounce of self respect taking that job.by HighPlainsDrifter - RamsFootballFans.com

He lost sixteen starters at the end of 2015. I didn't expect OSU to get anywhere near the CFP. There were some serious flaws with that team that involved new starters, and, if I had my way, those offensive coordinators would be gone, too. Their offense hasn't been the same since Tom Herman left. I expect a lot of returning starters next season and a tremendous recruiting class coming in. Urbby HighPlainsDrifter - RamsFootballFans.com
and I've expressed concerns about his hand size, too, but his hands are the same size as Derek Carr's. And Ryan Tannehill's for that matter, and Ryan has a hot wife, so his hands aren't hurting him too much. I like bigger hands, too, but, if pressed to justify it with numbers, it would be hard to do.by HighPlainsDrifter - RamsFootballFans.com
Except possibly in the area of physical development. He clearly had the "Bear Raid" offense down pat, and that is all he was going to get in another year of school. If anything, if he entered the NFL with bad habits resulting from running that offense, those bad habits were just going to get driven deeper into his routine. I just don't think that another year of the Cal offense wouldby HighPlainsDrifter - RamsFootballFans.com
Three-star prospect out of high school. Listed at 6'4, 225 lbs. Doesn't really seem to have anything in his history to suggest that he's going to set the world on fire. Has one year of college left to get it done. I'll be watching him, but my expectations aren't that high. Maybe he'll surprise me. The power structure on this team seems so unbelievably convoluted that I don't know how any of us here on the outside looking in could possibly know who has been responsible for what. It's part and parcel of the complete dysfunctionality of the St.Louis/Los Angeles Rams. It's going to take an awful lot of work to untangle this whole thing and set it on a course it can succeed on.
