Back when the networks OCCASIONALLY showed scores at the bottom of the screen?? FREAKING NERVE RACKING when I knew the Rams were in a nail biter! OR....The THRILL when they'd cut to the highlight of our Rams to show them do something good.......or the sick feeling to see the other guys do something good?? As a kid in Jacksonville, my best thrill was when our regional game would end and sometimeby Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
I just remember the bigger lead.by Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
I did not know the Rams had already clinched. I STILL WANT PAY BACK!!!! LOLby Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
Bring the fans in!!!! Heck, Birmingham had some great fans in the 80s. I thought Memphis fans were good too. There is absolutely ZERO pride or concern over any team where fans are not allowed.by Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
A....PROMOTE IT!! B....Make the Broadcasts more top notch (Was something special about Keith Jackson calling those games and C... Get more Cities involved that do NOT already have NFL ball. In the 80s USFL, Jacksonville did not have an NFL team. The Bulls were a HOT item here and the games VERY exciting. When we beat the New Jersey Generals in 1985, it is STILL the loudest I have ever heaby Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
I have actually heard 2-3 people praising the Rams after Sunday, including Jacksonville Sports radio. Heck, I have seen MUCH less love after some fairly big WINS! Usually why the other team lost.by Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
Total Class! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH....What if we had S.J. in his prime NOW????by Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
With the EIGHT second 48 yard FG!by Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't even know! I mean the Alstott type! I'd LOVE to see the Rams get some guy that is a bulldozer or can simply knock the hell out of persuing D linemen / LBers. THAT is a good way to wear down D's. AND have a FB who can catch.by Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
I honestly have not given much thought to the "New Coke" since..................1985. Spring 85, I was a Senior in High School. First time I had the new Coke was at lunch. Reminded me of Pepsi (Which I don't mind either) I honestly thought it was not THAT bad but not the REAL thing that I love. That change made ZERO sense.by Ramgator - Bucky's Pub
I STILL think about that 78 MNF game . OR.......Ron Brown's AWESOME catch in 84 (Guman also returned an onside kick for a TD)by Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
Some of you might recall this............The last time we faced Cincy on MNF was 1978. I was in 6th grade. The game was in the Coliseum. I remember Cincy still had the helmets with "BENGALS" on them. Ken Anderson was the QB. AAAAANYWAY......The Rams jumped out to a 13 to 0 or 13 to 3 lead. But it was not that close. Bengals did NOTHING. Right at Halftime, my Mom starts getting on to meby Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
I was P....Oed!! MAN!!! I HATE losing to the Niners! Especially when we let them off the hook. But, like many have noted...It showed just HOW good the Rams are and are NOT a guarantee to be pushed around by the Niners anymore. We have several tough games on the schedule but none tougher than the Niners. We can compete with ANYONE if we play our game.....ANYONE! But we haaaaaaaaaaaave to stay hby Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
My very first Rams game in person was 1984 in Tampa. I tell ya...Between the mighty Rams 73-99 road jerseys and the Bucs old school home jerseys, there was a lot of popping under that bright sun.by Ramgator - Bucky's Pub
Where he was short by a foot because he avoided contact with a CB. I'd like to see him go Bavaro on guys on key plays.by Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
McVay simply refuses to pound the rock. It's SCREAMINGLY obvious that when we run, the Offense is awesome.by Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
I saw a LOT of plays where the Niners blasted up the middle and Stafford was juuuuuusr getting rid of the ball. I saw one replay where he could had rolled right and had all day to find someone. Just an Arm Chair observation. Remember y'all.....Back in 82, I could throw a pigskin a quarter mile!by Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
The Rams were KILLING IT with the run vs Tampa, in the reg season game in L.A. Rams had total control and domination of the game and then....POOF!! McVay goes into pass happy mode. We won but the difference in strategy was obvious. Just LAST year....We were killing the Falcons in the first half and then POOF! Out comes some 3 pass n punt "drives"...Gave Atlanta TONS of extra time and pby Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
The Rams had played for a long FG with time to maybe get an onside kick and have at least a chance for a Hail Mary, instead of killing the game with a useless FG.by Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
Right now, we have a pretty darn good team. But if we lose Stafford, I have almost zero hope.by Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
Akers was THE man for a rather weak FSU team and found holes even with a weak O line. VJ was like the Gators Pete Holohan....CONSTANTLY coming through on clutch 3rd down conversions and the occasional 30-40 yarder. I was excited when we got both. But BOTH have turned out to be absolutely useless.by Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams are VERY capable of beating the Niners. The second quarter showed that. And we did it with a lot of youngsters and a basically no show AD. I REEEALLY wish McVay would learn to fight fire with fire vs the Niners. We got physical in the second quarter. They could NOT take it! Second half, we got pass happy and that is when the mistakes started and the wheels fell off. IMO, that should / couldby Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
Lose by 3 or 30....It's a loss. JUST WIN!! Winning point spreads just sooth my nerves.by Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
McVay / Morris had a VERY good chance to step on their necks late in the 2nd and into the 3rd. But we let them off the hook.by Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
Sorry, could not resist.by Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
Just ONE hit on the QB. Other than that, he was a total no show.by Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
But more n more n more, they run a very shady business. Many tickets (ESPECIALLY concerts) are LONG GONE to "Brokers" before fans get them. There IS a reason why well traveled teams get them before the fans of the respective cities. They are gone to Brokers and Travel Agencies who, you can bet your arse.....give a NICE cut to the League.by Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
