... a guy named Sammy Watkins ... oh, wait ...by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotejemach I watch/read follow more NFL offseason than ever. I watch virtually no college offeseason polls, etc. I'm thinking that it has happened in part, because the Rams were so bad for so long, we had a top pick. Imagine, being lousy to peak interest...at the "theory" time...and lessened during "in practice" time..meaning...offseason was full of hope...in season was fuby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteCrazylegs 6 to 8 weeks. I am planning on presenting Deacon to the Rams promoting the idea of me ultimately sculpting all from the 1965 Los Angeles Rams Fearsome Foursome. Deacon, Merlin, Rosey and Lamar. I want them reproduced in a monumental size (at least 10 ft.tall) and shown in their famous "hands on hips" stance, which was their way taunting by waiting for the offense to gby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Good poll jemach. I watch the same amount of NFL as I ever have but less college. Reason being is I play golf every Saturday and it wouldn't go over too well in the household to come home from golf and watch college football the rest of the day in addition to watching the NFL all day on Sunday!by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Got it, thanks.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Great work DP and thanks so much for sharing. I don't know where you guys find the time to do all of that but the rest of us certainly appreciate it!by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteBlue and Gold SW draws 2 safeties for a time, before the near one peels back to help on Kupp, but though most of the play, it was Watkins with the extra attention. Not to try to dissuade or argue as this is just an observation. In the first still it looks like there are only two out on a route so it's no surprise that SW is drawing all that coverage, and both receivers are fairly closby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSoCalRAMatic You could says as a linebackers he just Fitts. Or worsely, if we had him he'd cause offensive coordinators Fitts. I hate myself. Funny stuff SoCal.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
My initial reaction was I hated losing that 1st rounder. Still do as a matter of fact. My concerns are no different than anybody else: 1) If they don't resign him, the trade was a bad trade. 2) Will he be satisfied with his target load? We don't know what that will be yet but if last season with Sammy was any indication, he may not be getting as many as he thinks he should get. On theby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotezn The Patz win because they have Brady as the qb and Bellichick as the coach. Subtract that combo and they don't win. Acting like other qbs in the league have to emulate Brady and accept sub-marker contracts? That's not going to reproduce the Patz formula. The Patz did not win so much because Brady gave them 3-4 M dollar breaks. They won because it was Brady/Bellichick.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotedroopy I don't understand the thinking of Rams' management. If the wide receiver position is so important to them why didn't they tag Sammy? Now we have no 1st round pick. And worse is New England now has our pick. Horrendous management. All this because of them wanting to keep Lemarcus Joyner on the team. Yeah, I agree. After all, they trade away next year's 2nd rounder for a bum like Peby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotespagsbacker i really cannot see paying Goff $25 million plus per year...ever. We have most of our studs under our control for next two years. Gurley, Goff, Whitworth, Kupp, Woods, AD, JJ, Peters, Brockers and plenty others "should" definitely be rams next two years. Maybe the plan is for rams to make a run this year and next, and then hit reboot? Goff was terrible without McVay, mby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
This is one of those where I'm feeling, "well, I really hope it works out." I hate giving up that first. Plus, in order not to spend that 1st on a one year rental, we need to sign him and since Watkins got $16MM/year, how much do you think Cooks is going to demand? I'm confident McSnead has a plan so we'll just have to wait and see. Fingers crossed.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
I haven't read anybody on this board saying they hate OBJ. Just because someone may not want him on the Rams, me included, does not mean they hate the guy. He is a narcissistic, self-absorbed, childish, immature player who's talent is undeniable. He can't keep his composure on the field, he makes bad decisions, yet he's a great player. Quite the conundrum. Even with the talent, I don'tby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Good points. Like I said, I'd be happy to be proven wrong and be thrilled with this one.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Yes I guess that is a bit better than "decent." But there's something about the guy's game that I can't really put my finger on that doesn't scream "elite", therefore worth a 1st rounder. I'd be happy to be proven wrong, but at this point ... not sure about this one. I hope this doesn't turn out to be a one year rental for the cost of a 1st rounder. So Gamo, it soundsby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Does anybody else think that Cooks is not worth a 1st rounder? Man, I get that they wanted to fill Watkins spot but I don't know about this one. I know that Cooks has put up decent numbers in his short career but ... I don't know. I guess I'll have to wait to see how this all shakes out. I hate losing that 1st rounder though. I guess I won't be watching the draft the first night. As an asby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteNewMexicoRam Wouldn't be the first time. But OBJ, Woods, and Kupp would potentially create a nightmare for any defense. But I'm afraid he'd be creating nightmares for the Rams at the same time.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteNewMexicoRam NYG have some pressure here because they know OBJ wants out. And he will drag his feet in any way he can to get out. Do the NYGs want to drag this out for months themselves, creating a locker room scene all season? I doubt it. That means the Rams may be able to make a deal. At least a #1 would be included, but the thing that would throw a kink into it would be if the Whinby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
However, it seems like the one and only gaping hole in our D is OLB. I know we're going to be getting pressure inside with Donald and Suh, but we have to have some outside pressure as well. So my guess, and that's all it is, is that if a guy like Landry is there, that'll be the pick. What might throw a wrench in the plan (if the plan is to go OLB if their guy is there), is if Ridley is thereby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRampage2K- Jason Whitlock sounds like a bitter Chiefs fan....oh yeah, he is a bitter Chiefs fan:lol3 This line says it all .... Just pullin' yer chain R2K!!! I can understand the want to get the guy because his talent is undeniable. BUT, he is the epitome of the ME ME ME player and I just can't stand his antics. He is very immature and his ego is off the charts. I'm afraid he'd wreck (not physically) the locker room and chemistry on the team. It would be very hard for me to root for the guy, and I'm not sure I couby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
PSLs were never mentioned in this entire thread so I don't know where that came from. Besides, there is a cap where most teams spend up to it so I don't see how it's any different for the Rams than any other team. But no, I'm not OK with the entire idea of PSLs, no matter how much or how little they cost.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotelaram They're going for it THIS year...but WHY? Why the rush? Why sign Suh on a one year deal with no second year option? Why sign a 30 and a 32 yr old corner, one who had to take a powder due to concussions? Now there is talk of them inquiring about trading for OBJ. A receiver who will kick and scream if he's not getting his targets?!?!? These are obviously the moves of a deby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com

Will our mantra then be "Me Not We" if we trade for this narcissistic diva? Yes, he's a big talent but ever since he's been in the league I've been thankful he isn't on my team. I want no part of him.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteferragamo79 I think the author is saying they traded picks to move up to get him Maybe, but I'm not sure about that. The context reads like the Goff trade was this year, as was the Peters trade.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
"2. Los Angeles Rams A bold offseason would go nuclear if they could swing a deal for Beckham. Oh sure, assets are a bit lean right now following the trades to land Jared Goff and Marcus Peters, but we can't help but imagine Beckham landing in L.A. for one of the more progressive offensive systems going.
