But hey..."that counts too". ;) I think CG's gonna end up being pretty much a speed rusher with a great motor...and that's it. CG won't be very physical or violent(ala Obo)in the run game...but will be relentless. I'm really hoping TLewis becomes another version of Floyd that we can count on during 3rd downs. I have to say...I was wrong about Floyd...I mean really limited in hoby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I thought CG was pretty relentless and slippery in attack mode.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
and then Woods last season? Or both on OBJ - like the Jake Funk kid who's had 3 ACLs now. iircby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
After Woods got hurt last year.... I didn't forget how good he was since 2017. Woods did everything well....and was our best WR. imo In fact, to me, up until Kupp did what he did last year, I liked Woods OVER Kupp by a hair. But after last year Kupp raised the bar like no other and became our #1...and I readily admit that. But until last year, Woods was my 1a and Kupp 1b....on the team.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
and if we do..it'd be for Jefferson or Woods. imo To get Woods it'd take a 2nd rounder. Otherwise I'd take a 3rd or 4th for Jefferson who's got 2yrs left on his contract and some potential for Minny to get stoked about.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
O'Connell will want to set up a Rams style system and Jefferson is young and KNOWS it with 2yrs left on his contract and still has just enough upside/potential that Vikes might part with a 3rd/4th rounder to get him there for the off-season to help with installation of Rams-lite offense in Minny.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I think he had some injury issues that never get discussed by him...and sometimes he doesn't have the best footwork when getting flushed and instead of setting his feet for a bomb will only partially do so - and will lose juice from that miscue. Often, guys with strong arms will tend to lean on power over form and send it downrange with arm strength only. but make no mistake, that dude canby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
and I wanted him back for next year. But he does have an escape clause for the team in the contract for 2022...where they can save a load of money. iirc THAT might be what could get him traded to the Vikes - especially after the signing of Robinson - IF we can get good compensation for Woody to make it worth it. Woody is worth a 2nd rounder for sure....to any team that wants to throw. Maybby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Fowler, Key would be first choices, then Ingram...not crazy bout Barnett.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
and QBs like that LOVE WRs/TEs that have great hands and can catch anything. Stafford has decent ball placement but not like Rodgers or Brees...but he's got a cannon and throws a mean fastball. imo I prefer that style of QB cuz you can make throws that open up the field and get the ball to the WR in a hurry so that they can do somethin with it. When that ball leaves the QB's hand...everyone kby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
only player in NFL history to do that.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
ALSO.... I didn't - at all - like the two remarks in the past about the owners asking/incentivizing HCs to throw games for draft picks. The NFL "could" do something like have a small pool of money set aside every year that incentivizes the two worst teams last 4 games and pay players to win. The reason is to override/overpay any private moneys an owner might offer his team to tank. Tby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
cuz it's so disruptive. imo AND...is happens to our team at such an unprecedented level. It's almost unfair. I think that if a coordinator is STILL under contract...teams should get compensation. I know I sound like a sore loser...but, I guess I am. It's brutal for our team's continuity. ughby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
sometimes ya win...sometimes you lose. But "the game" is always sacred.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
and the trade-off for that is a few INTs every game. No big whoop. INTs are the cost of doin business for an aggressive offense. I love it. It will come back to bite us too some games...but overall....it CAN be a winning strategy. imo just like GSOT.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Burgess was in on a load of tackles it seemed. I was constantly seeing #26 at the bottom of a stack. Also, along with TravonHoward both are very good in coverage. imoby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
but I always default to negative outcomes - for 45yrs - so, that's how I will roll tonight while on the phone with Alyosha...he is always positive so we cancel each other out!! lol ...cept when we really DO LOSE...then we are both ruined for the coming week. lolby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
if we lose tonight. I have watched this team for 45 yrs...and I am always thankful for being in the play-offs as a fan. It's hard to do it and every team is tough to play. McVay had better call a run heavy- PA game tonight. If we open in empty sets repeatedly in the first 5 drives - we will lose game. imo If we run and dominate the LoS...we now have 3 starting RBs that can bring it...let'by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
sheer madness. imo Gotta have the run threat in nearly all play options unless 3rd & 8+....removing that makes the defense able to pin their ears back and attack like madmen. Rams are at their best when the run is tied in very close to the run game. The RUN should always be a threat to a defense just to make them hesitate a split second. imoby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm just tired & broken after years of watching them whoop our team...even when the 49ers are not going to the playoffs...they beat us. ugh. But, yes, I agree..."hopefully" we can win this timeby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
That will give more space for routes downfield and ease up the pass rush for Stafford to make plays off of PA passes.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Heck, Shanny's a Viking-God and pure kryptonite to Rams fans...even when the 49ers are winless....they always manage to beat us. So much so, that I refuse to even have hope for a different outcome cuz McVay & the team have let me down so much with this matchup. So, I'm already anticipating a loss today and game planning the 1st playoff game...as I'm sure McVay already is doing too. lolby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
cuz this Rams team does not play well when they are already in the play-offs(like last week). Add to that - it's the 49ers - and McVay's big brother Shanny who knows McVay better than McVay knows himself...and you have a weak showing today. We'll lose today, win our first playoff game and lose the 2nd one...and be out. Maybe I should have some coffee first...I'm clearly feeling a bitby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
B&Ys are our classic HOME Rams uniform that should be worn nearly ALL Home games...with a few variances. WHY are the B&Y NOT our team colors???? I'm blown away by that. It's one of the most iconic uniforms...EVER. And completely unique to SoCal and the Rams. Seriously...what are they doing? wth????by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
i was really hoping for getting Fangio(the OG)...to fill Staley's shoes. I really hope Morris is hired by another team...but I doubt it. It'll be sad to lose out on Fangio.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Shanny's team will win....again. Thank goodness we get to play other teams during the year and build up wins.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm NOT saying to go back to 3yds & a cloud of dust. Just need to be more slight of formation and faking. The runs need to mesh better and make it less obvious that we're gonna pass....is all I'm saying. Removing the threat of running just makes team 1 dimensional...and helps the defense. We just need to get more balance and pick better formations for passing - like reduce the empty setsby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Burgess was a very good FS/slot CB last year....the guy must be in the dog house for some reason....cuz he's a very good Safety. imoby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
...and ease up on the empty sets./..ESPECIALLY inside the RZ or the 10yd line. That's insane!! Keep the run in the defense minds and use PA passes to give Stafford more open windows. No more one dimensional stuff...McVay is getting like Martz it seems and is intent on dictating to the defense. That's fine when it works...but an OC has to switch gears if the defensive game plan is slowingby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I wonder if the stats have changed at all about deferring. I would think that nerves of players before a game may be a factor for the offense... and it's easier to play defense(without having to handle a ball). It allows the offense to stand and get in the flow of the game while the defense just plays fast. Then, the offense can come out onto the field after a series of just watching the gameby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
