I think it's pretty clear now why the Rams made the moves they did last year in trading away Peters and trading for Ramsey. I think McVay had an eye on going with the Fangio style defense for awhile now..... This defense relies on a secondary that can play both man and zone....we all saw what happened to Peters when he's asked to play man.by Rampage2K- - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteRams43 Quotespagsbacker but anyway, id rather have Peters and a 1st rd pick this year AND next year, instead of paying a fortune to extend Ramsey and forfeit multiple 1st rd picks, but thats just me. First of all, we should consider Ramsey our 1st round pick this year. Impossible as getting such a player might seem with the 20th pick. Second, Peters would have cost a pretty penny had heby Rampage2K- - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotespagsbacker this idea that you basically just traded one 1st rd pick in 2021 for Ramsey is nonsense. Im sorry. How? Where did anyone say that??? We got Ramsey for our first pick in the draft this year and gave up next years first round pick to do so.by Rampage2K- - RamsFootballFans.com

Quote3030 QuoteRampage2K- You basically have to look at it like you drafted Ramsey in 2020(and got him for half a year in 2019) and gave up a 2021 first round pick to do so, ... I'm not sure you can do that. A first round choice you have under contract for 5 years. Ramsey we get for 1 1/2 years then will have to pay heavily to keep. There is value in those 3 additional affordable years. Noby Rampage2K- - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteMamaRAMa The Battlehawks uniforms are the ugliest of the lot, in my opinion. Plus they are proof again that a blue and white color scheme is blcccch. The Dallas Renegades unis look a little like the Tennessee Titans unis to me. QuoteSpeed_Kills when the NFL network guy said the Rams would finish 8-8 and in third place in the west things change quickly they have major question marks along both lines, no run game or proven RB, a QB who regressed, are likely to lose Littleton, major coaching changes the Rams have the look of a team in transition So you'd have us behind the Bucs, Chargers and Falcons too??? Quotedzrams Quotespagsbacker moving on from Peters and trading for Ramsey just seems shortsighted imo. Now we have to pay a fortune to extend Ramsey, which leaves us with very little ammo to address needs across the board, needs which cannot be relieved with 1st rd picks the next two years! Quotestlramz The only move which pisses me off this off-season so far is losing Bones. The ST regressed this year but there was no question Bones was a top ST coach. Oh well, in McVay I trust. I dunno.... our ST's took a nose dive last year and that fake punt in the last game was the coup de grâce for him I'm excited for the new face on the sideline to tell you the truthby Rampage2K- - RamsFootballFans.com

The run blocking was atrocious last year...... none of our running backs looked good. Gurley might not have the speed he once had, but he still showed he has a nose for the end zone and started looking better once he was allowed to get some touches. McVay did him no favors with the lack of touches early in the year either. I think the sit down meeting is just hopes he is willing to restrby Rampage2K- - RamsFootballFans.com

Ouch!!! Not a bad deal for Jerick though::o If the Titans don't pay up for Henry, someone else will... but reading that article it's pretty clear running back is a tough to try and figure out how and what to pay them. At the time the Rams paid Gurley, they rewarded him for being the best (non QB )offensive player in the NFL, unfortunately he broke down, but I still think he is very salvageaby Rampage2K- - RamsFootballFans.com
Quote3030 I've always been of the belief (Tinfoil hat conspiracy alert!) that the Chargers/Spanos fell on a knife for the NFL so that the Raiders wouldn't have the opportunity to move back to L.A. Which would have been a disaster for the Rams. I suspect the Chargers thought it would turn out better than it has.
