QuoteLMU93 Jones deserves the extension ahead of Dotson. Without question in my opinion. You are going to have to pay Jones at some point and he is a key to the defense. I think we have him for 1 more season on the cheap but signing him next season to a LT deal may lessen the overall annual cost which will be helpful. While Dotson and Jones are both critical to the team I think there is mucby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotewaterfield And next to the O line the secondary is the most important "unit"-if you want to consistantly win. That is IMHO/ Secondary has been our biggest problem by far. Offensive Line has played great and keep Dotson is important & upgrading center would be nice. Edge needs to improve but we are getting pressure on the QB pretty regularly and both the edge guys haveby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRockRam Goff played pretty darn well for the Rams, even taking us to a Superbowl. He's playing well with the Lions, leading them to a division title for the first time in 30 years. Wentz? Up and down. Other than for Dak Prescott later in the draft, no other QBs in the 2016 draft have distinguished themselves. All you can do is draft what is there. And you can't know the real outcby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRockRam When you look at this draft, it is beyond amazing. Avila looks like a vet. Turner is an All-Pro whether he gets the nod or not and how many DTs get the number of sacks he does, rookie or vet?. Young is at the top of the sack list for rookies at his position. Nacua is the best WR in this draft by a long shot and indeed is our Deebo Samuel. And this doesn't count the contributby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
The team of McVay + Snead is Gold. They fit together perfectly, plan jointly and execute their plans in perfect harmony. You can't say that about most organizations. You only have to go back to Martz & Ziggy to see how unproductive disunity and power struggles to the organization. They have also shown how they can morph their strategies from win now to retool & reset doing both withby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Wentz or Winston are both huge upgrades over what the Rams have had the last few years. Rams have chosen not to spend precious cap $$$ on the backup position as that person usually doesn't play on Sunday. I like the idea of using a draft pick to take a QB if it is a strong draft and one slides. I would be okay taking a QB in the 1st round if one of the top guys tumbled down to our positionby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com

Quotekw13 Another advantage of Puka Nacua. Dude is listed coming out of college at 205 and I think he's put on a few pounds since then. Big dude, can block. Also, seriously, are 40 times overrated or what? Puka and Kyren are 5th round picks mostly because they ran 4.57/4.65. Put on some pads and let's see who's faster. Rams use GPS to track football playing speed. Nacua in the oby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Merry Christmas to you all. Thanks to everyone for making the board the place to go for Rams info.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Kobe Turner has been impressing me all season long but when you see the film breakdown focused on him you really appreciate just how disruptive he is. Rams Front Line with Jones is really playing well. Kobe Turner looks like a star, Avila looks like a star, Nuka is a star, Young look really good, Evans looks like a upper end Punter. Those are the early returns from the draft. Hampton andby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Youngblood I missed you. Followed you on twitter. Look for the sail boat. Kobe Turner is a godsend. Plus he is a great kid and a leader. I remember at draft time all the belly aching about how he was a reach in the 3rd round both on the board and by the professional commentators. He is playing like a top 10 pick and the last 7 or 8 games is starting to dominate. Also great that he is bonby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteMamaRAMa The article says the owner has made the decision to part ways with Rivera at the end of the season. It doesn't say Rivera was fired today. Thanks for clarifying. Still that is stupid too. What advantage do you have by leaking that out?by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
It would be great to see Morris get another chance a HC. Love the draft picks too. Staley was great so he would be a top replacement. Maybe he became a HC to quickly as he only had 1 year as a DC before getting promoted. Belichick failed before he became a successful HC so I would not be to quick to judge. Kind of a bone head move. Why not do it on Monday?by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I really question how the Rams view their team needs as their are many variables we don't have access to. On the surface we need another RB. Williams is find but he has been hurt the in each of his 2 seasons and with his running style and size he is likely to get banged up again. So we need another RB or is Evans one they feel they can count on for next season. If they don't think Evans isby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
What a great kid and a heck of a football player. It was not long ago that all the so called experts were screaming on draft night what a reach he was in the 3rd round. Now it looks like he was a major steal in the 3rd. Love the Character and Leadership too. Based on the song he picked you can also tell he is centered on the Lord too.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Thank Alyo, I always read and enjoy these posts. You are starting to get my engine going on the draft. At this point it I don't see a need that is screaming at us where we have to use our 1st rounder on a specific position. I don't have a real feel yet for the position strength of the guys coming out except that I know there are 3 top end OT, a bunch of QBs & WRs, No superstar RBs, &by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Sorry for posting an article behind a pay wall but this story is just too cool. A couple of dudes form Germany built a virtual reality tool using AI and Bio Mechanics that would help the QB make decision quicker. They worked with a couple of the LSU to get very specific around the nuances of the LSU offense and their specific plays. After getting to tool ready to be tested they gave it tby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com

Puca had 2 big knocks against him: His 40 time and Injury history Well I saw a few plays on Sunday where he sure as Heck look awful fast. It is nice to see that the GPS readings confirm what I thought I was seeing. Snead is big in GPS versus 40 time. Anyway now way Puca lasts until the 5th round if he runs a 4.4by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Player Development has been a real strength under McVay but with all the vets and chasing the big prize I think it became less of a focus. This year McVay had to get back to basics and retooled his staff and the results so far are great. Rookies and 2nd year players are making great contributions on this team and we are in the playoff hunt. If we had a better kicker we would have 2 more wiby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteheadslapper between the draft and the free agent signings and small trades the boys killed it, best year I have seen in a very very long time. Incredible from Whiterspoon to Dotson to Puka and Avila, Turner and Young are looking great, it is exciting Totally Agree. I doubt the league sets the market for Guards based on PFF grades. Let's remember he wasn't going to start at Pitt. They knew him well and there must have been a reason. He came here in a trade at a price that was reasonable. He didn't win the starting job here for a few games. Yes he has played well but for what 5 or 6 games? Will the market for him go wild with his history and limby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Hoecht has play very well lately. He is setting the edge which prevents teams by going wide. He rushes that passer very well and plays the running game well. He had trouble covering TE's earlier in the season but that has not been a noticeable issue of late. Not sure exactly why that is. My guess is that they don't give him that responsibility anymore. Or perhaps it was just rare for hiby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I am pretty sure that right now nobody on this board knows about what will happen with Bennett next season. It seems he has the talent to be a good backup but what his problem/injury is has been kept pretty quiet. We know McVay has talked to him a few times and says he is doing good. Other than that we don't know crap. We can speculate all we want and postulate what this all means fby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks Aly always read your posts and enjoy them. Turner has impressed me the last few games and he is a real leader type. Williams is turning out to be much better than forecasted despite a lack of speed. Now if he can only stay healthy. I think the guys on the Edge have been much better holding the edge and not getting sucked in on fakes which has really helped the defense. Goodby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com

Turner has been playing at a really high level and looks to have the makings of a special player. Not bad for a kid considered a reach in the 3rd round. Really this has been a great draft and even the last pick Johnson is getting on the field as part of the DL rotation. I think there are going to be more of these guy emerging either latter this year or next year that will make a differenceby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I have been a loyal fan since the mid 60's. Seen some of the greatest players ever to play the game on the Rams. Deacon, Merlin, Dickerson, Faulk, Warner, Bruce, Pace, Youngblood, Kupp, Donald and a bunch of others. I love this team right now as they seem to be emerging and getting better every game.
